What we do know-- MD4Bush was the source of some FR mails the WP got. You can see that from his gloating posts on 02/08/2005.
link Looking back at his posts now he was a provacatuer and is from MD.
link. The only reasonable surmise is that this was a Democratic partisan in the area. Nobody outside the MD area is going to be interested in something like this. At the time of the threads on O'Mally we had several new posters commenting on it and they have not been back.

Part of the current investigation should be to look at the IP Addresses of all the trolls who came in on the early NCPAC/MD4Bush threads. WaPo, Baltimore Sun? MD Dem HQ? And, God forbid, the DNC? Hmmmmmm!
