February 12, 2005--In a very early look at the 2008 Presidential Election, Senator Hillary Clinton leads Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice 47% to 40%. At the same time, Secretary Rice leads Senator John Kerry 45% to 43%.
The survey was conducted January 29-30, before Dr. Rice's first international tour as Secretary of State. Since the survey was taken, Americans have grown more optimistic about the situation in Iraq.
Fifty-one percent (51%) of voters believe that Senator Clinton is politically liberal while 27% say she is a moderate. For Senator Kerry, 46% said liberal and 31% moderate.
Secretary of State Rice is viewed as conservative by 43% and moderate by 28%.
Among married Americans, Rice has a very slight lead over Clinton. However, the New York Senator leads 55% to 32% among those who are not married.
Rice leads among Investors, 50% to 40% while Clinton leads among non-Investors 53% to 30%.
In a match-up with Senator Kerry, Rice does better among men than among women.

Plus they don't poll younger people. How would you like to be the first generation that does worse than your parents ? That would be my main campaign motto if I were the Repub runnng against Hitlery.

In a very early look at the 2008 Presidential Election, Senator Hillary Clinton leads Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice 47% to 40%. At the same time, Secretary Rice leads Senator John Kerry 45% to 43%. Considering Condi Rice has been Sec. of State for about a minute...this is pretty darn good news.

What amazes me is that 47% of any group would pick Hillary.

Let's face it, Hillary will win every poll from now on. The media has begun their obvious support of another Clinton for President.

Name recognition...Nothing else. I have relatives and acquaintances who do not know who Dr. Condi Rice is. They ALL know Hillary!

Besides, Hillary is always more popular when she is out of site. Her ratings have always dropped when she is out in public and gets seen. Her face is going to be on TV 24 hours a day come election time and her ratins will plummet. Kinda worked the same way with Kerry.

She's so easy to beat if you have the right campaign. It's almost a slam dunk. Time will tell how series the repubs are about winning, I'm not real sure they do want to win in 2008.

The idiot Boxer went after Condi at the recent confirmation hearings specifically with a potential Condi - Hillary matchup in mind. Never forget that Boxer and the Clintons are now related, and that Boxer is nothing more than a sock puppet for the Clintons.

Scott needs to find something of importance to survey. IMO, neither of the females will be in the race in 08.....

I wouldn't discount all this stuff out of hand, she will be a strong candidate, she will be running as a celebrity, and we don't have a visible candidate on our side.

Poll this, no morals, she fixed health care so well we have had double digit increases in costs every year since she messed it up, all the ties to the femiNazis, etc, etc, etc.
To: oceanview
I agree, she should help the repubs raise record amount of money to defeat her.
It take a Village of Florida Child Care workers to screw up a kids life or get him killed ...

Waste of time.
It might be not such a waste to get an effective group a la Swift Boaters going after Hillary early, even now - and going permanently. Scandals there are aplenty.

its not to early to start - where are the anti-Hillary 527s? we can't allow her 4 years to re-define herself, combined with daily media adulation, and then hope to defeat her by starting a campaign in august of 2008.
