What is the area of study?

Neurobiology. But these folks mentioned earlier aren't confined to this field or predominant in this field. They're everywhere. Everything exists, or should exist, to give them every creature comfort, to make sure that they're fully and completely entertained; I can't even imagine them thinking of giving up something for the sake of a child. But there are others, like a friend from China, who came here for grad school, got a degree, worked in a lab and enjoyed it, but got pregnant, had their first son, and then felt almost ashamed to say that she'd rather spend her time at home with her son rather than in the lab. I told her it was GOOD thing to enjoy being with her son and to care for him. So now they're expecting their second child! It's SO cool!

Interesting! I thought you were going to say something related to "liberal arts". :-) And good for your friend!
