Arabia: victory with Ryad of candidates supported by the islamists

RYAD - the local elections organized in Saudi Arabia saw the victory in the Ryad capital of several candidates supported by the islamists, according to provisional results'. Some of beaten intend however to dispute this result.

Several beaten candidates affirmed that the names of six of the seven winners were reproduced on a list diffused by portable telephone and Internet during the countryside, which makes them think that the latter had the support of the islamists.

One among them, Zafer Al Yami, expressed the intention to dispute these results. According to him, the winners would have violated the electoral payment which prohibits any alliance or coalition of candidates. "There is a system and laws which we must respect", it declared.

Saoudiens - but not Saoudiennes - was called with the ballot boxes Thursday for local elections partial presented like the first stage of a new in Saudi Arabia and supposed electoral process to reflect the democratic evolution of the monarchical system.

This poll proceeds in three times: after Ryad, the voters of the provinces of the east and south of the country will vote in March, then it will be with the turn of the provinces of the west and north, in April. More than 1800 candidates, businessmen, heads tribaux or university, were candidates with the some 200 seats subjected to the vote.

Beaten, as in beaten with a stick?

Or beaten in the actual polls?

It's too early democracy to be introduced in Saudi Arabia, while Islamists still gain wide support from the people. These people need more education and get rid of Salafists and Wahhabi ideas first.

Is this any real surprise?

Seems to me that there is NO common ground between the Islamic world and the West, except that we breathe oxygen, make tools, use language, and can interbreed.

Aside from that, we might as well be from different planets.

Ain't gonna happen. Keeping them mired in superstition mixed with Muslim supremecism is a means of social control.

Like I've said before, the only way to defeat the Islamists is the way we defeated Germany and Japan - through crushing their societies, and grinding them to dust. When they abandon faith in their barbaric religion, they will open up to new ideas.

The Saudi Kingdom's legitimacy is built on Wahhabism.

Next time, let the women vote too - then let's see who wins.

It took us what, almost 150 years to get to that point.

But you're right of course ... stuff it up there butts until we get the Imperial result!

Don't know why it just crossed my mind, haven't played the game for ages, but I wonder if the arabs play Trivial Pursuit?

LOL. They do. Well, I know at least the educated elite do.

While they sit around all day asking each other questions about things that other cultures have contributed to advancing mankind, I'm not sure if the big obvious question ever enters their mind...

Kinda like when they check out the list of Nobel prize winners and gaze at the lack of Muslim names (besides Arafat).

Now there's an idea for an enterprising mind; design an islamic version of Trivial Pursuit. Boggles the mind.

What is camel's urine good for?
Where does the sun set at the end of the day?
For what reason should a camel, a goat or a sheep not be eaten?
Who discovered; America, Australia, Antarctica?

Well, you get the idea.

PS. If you don't know the answers, you just haven't been paying attention; skip a turn.

That isn't going to happen. SA is a male condominium. Some males on this site might hanker for that, absent the requirements pertaining to SA female dress code. It brings to mind that Greek play, where the women just locked the door of the bedroom, until their husbands got the message. This male liked that play. I like my women to be independent and strong.

LOL.

Q. Who discovered; America, Australia, Antarctica?

A. Muslims, Muslims, Muslims.

Q. Who discovered fire, invented the wheel, first to slit the atom?

A. Muslims, Muslims, Muslims.

Q. Who stole the ideas?

Multiple choice:
A. Jews.
B. Evil Jews.
C. Zionists in their white ships.
D. George W Bush
E. Haliburton.
F. Did I mention Jews?

Got it wrong once, lose a go.

Get it wrong again, lose you head.

Hey, we just might win the war on terror after all. ;o)

If laughter is a weapon, we have conquered. I have a friend who writes to me from Israel. She says, it's impossible to humiliate islam enough. Someone, can't remember who, uses it as a tagline.
'Humiliate Islam, it's asking for it'.

I love the multiple choice! It really really has potential, doesn't it? Play Trivial Pursuit Islam Style. Are you going to market it? I want half. I'm half Jewish.
