Her children are grown and she still calls herself a "mommy"?

Yeah, Texas is sure likely to elect a trial lawyer who thinks Texas doesn't get enough federal dollars because the party out of power is represented in the Senate.
Nice logic.

Yeah, just what Texas (and America needs): another gaddamned lawyer in the federal gummint, and this one with Nanny State instincts and a cockeyed view of our budget. Move along, Texas, there's nothing to see here........

"Rising star" my butt. I've lived in Houston for 35 yrs. and been active in political campaigns most of that time and I've never heard of this woman. If she is a "rising star" her it simply reflects on how anemic the Democrat party is here in Houston and in Texas

Why is this story even being posted. What a waste of hard drive space

Yeah Texas really wants a junior Rat senator in the minority party toally controlled by bi-coastal libs. She would be lucky to have the task of carrying around the K drool pails for Olds-Kennedy and KKK-Byrd.

""We have plenty of Democrats below the state level, but we don't have a two-party system at the state level." The result, she added, is that Texas gets overlooked when federal funds are doled out. " Maybe we should circulate a petition asking the President not to overlook us.
I wonder if we can just mail it to him in care of 'general delivery" to the new Crawford post office.

"We have plenty of Democrats below the state level..."
And the ones remaining at the county level are joining the Republican Party, three in my county alone...County Judge, DA, Tax Assessor-Collector.
The grass root support for the Democrat Party in non-metropolitan counties is slowly eroding away!
