Re: The double standard - there is no double standard. A true double standard is two different standards for the same thing. When it comes to sexuality, male sexuality and female sexuality are two different things. So we have two standards for two different things, and not a double standard for the same thing as some folks like to insist.

But last week, I didn't doubt for a second that he was a very willing participant. The average young man at that age might be scared at the sudden thrust of sexuality, but he would more likely than not indulge (and this is mostly based on the fact that she is very fit, young, & goodlooking and offering him uncluttered and uncomplicated sex).

This is an odd story - last week I had also casually joked to a friend that odds are she might be the one more hurt when their relationship was over. Circumstantial evidence in this account certainly supports that, oddly. I was just joking!!

Weird story, but for males, it's a dream come true. And when you get right down to it, I know very few males who wouldn't indulge in the uncomplicated, inexpensive, and relatively strings-free aggressive sexual advances from a young, attractive woman.

Whether ultimately that would be a positive or a negative, it's hard to say (though I lean in one direction). As I wrote last week, and it's something the 'negative' camp might have a problem coping with, most of us have done all sorts of things that negatively impacted us. And we're still standing here, aren't we?

Humans are not nearly as fragile as a lot of folks like to think, and nor are they as tough as others like to insist. The truth is most men and women bend, but don't break - that's the way God made us, and that's a good thing.

In the interests of full disclosure, I confess I have no comparable negative experience as this young man in my past. Whether it would be a traumatic thing, or a tender memory, or something else, I can't really say.
