Since Freepmail is the only way to communicate among FR users other than posting on a thread, one can't request a method of communication with anyone else outside FR without revealing an email address, mailing address, phone number or other contact info.
So, to be secure, one can only communicate with others on FR and not outside FR.

This is a very important post; for every single one of us.
And this is not a joke and it is not wild speculation and it is not overreacting.
In the last months, due to things that have finally been noticed about FR AND due to new tactics being used by "the dark side," we have basically placed ourselves in the game; with each post, we have become, for all intents and purposes, "players."
Watch what you say out loud; I believe this is a fight to the death for this country; and we all know the depths they are willing to go to.
Vigilance.
(Please use your ping lists, if you have them; everybody on this forum needs to be alerted to this.)
Thanks, Laz; once again, you've narrowed down the pertinent facts for us.

From
http://people.cs.uchicago.edu/~odonnell/Citizen/I_am_Spartacus/ I propose a campaign, called ``I am Spartacus,'' to share with creators of ideas the burden of censorship and suppression.
This campaign calls for some courage from participants, but the worst consequences will fall somewhat short of extermination by the Romans.
The basic idea is to create a huge number of mirrors of information that is the target of censorship or suppression, with campaigners publicly acknowledging responsibility for these mirrors.

Well, At one point we reported a user and they were not deleted.. I guess IM(H)O the only way to get rid of trolls is to delete those 'moderate' rino's on this site also...
The dems can't help but post some sort of half-hearted moderate thought on these discussion forums. Trust me, I was a troll at DU for a while, and I couldn't stop myself from arguing with them while still trying to cover up my opinion as 'moderate'. Needless to say my act there was deleted.
If we get rid of all moderate voices the trolls would evaporate. This site should be strictly conservative..let other sites be moderate to conservative with numerous trolls running around. This one should not be. But that is just MHO

Outstanding. I would amend your comment to be this:
5. If you post from a government or office computer, you bear special responsibilities and incur new vulnerabilities. Especially from a government computer, doing political things or voicing political thoughts can be problematic. If possible, take technological measures to avoid problems (STUNNEL and anonymizers) and in any event, be particularly careful.
Your suggestion has been added to the list.

Keep in mind that an accretion of seemingly insignificant information can paint a detailed picture. If you review NCPAC's posting history, you can gather a great deal of information that points to his identity.
1. His handle points to a connection to NCPAC
2. Posts about Erlich and NCPAC's presence at press conferences involving Erlich
3. Mentioning being involved in many campaigns.
4. Posted that he wasn't born until Namath's career ended points to him being in his 20s or 30s
5. "I've known Nitkin peripherally for a few years, and a colleague of mine and I ran into him a few weeks back at MD's Statehouse on the day Governor Ehrlich announced his veto of the Dem legislature's tax increase disguised as a Medical-Malpractice Bill. "
6. "I've known/worked in various capacities for and with the Governor since 1986"
7. Posts many times demonstrating a deep knowledge of pop music.
If you were at all familiar with Maryland politics, it wouldn't have been too hard to figure out who he is.
