Even if the FACTS were true and journalist are being killed I say "so what". With all thier negative propoganda they should be considered enemy combatants. There are more than ten that deserve a bullet. Remeber the incident with the Marine that made it onto MSNBC?

It's ironic that this was posted, as I've started reading a book called: Unrestricted Warfare: "China's Master Plan to Destroy America", which was written by two Chinese general staff colonels (it was a PLA strategy "white paper") and these guys talk about using the U.S.'s own media to help topple the U.S. WHEN they go to war with us.
These "msm" douchebags are being played like a fiddle, and are helping to erode thier OWN journalistic freedoms, if and when the Chinese decided to "lay down the gauntlet"!
It's funny that journalists have this "deluded" sense of self worth as if though THEY, and they alone "crusade" for our individual rights and freedoms. I for one KNOW that it doesn't take a mental heavyweight to be a journalist, as my wife is one and I KNOW that her writers COMBINED don't have the brain power to light a 40 watt lightbulb.
I'm not saying my wife is stupid...she's NOT, however, she has a sense of humility about her that's absent in MOST journalists, and she realizes that it's her duty to be fair and balanced, to borrow a now "overused" cliche.
It has been a depressing time for liberals and post modernists in general.
On the issue of Press coverage in Iraq, yes, American journalists could be expected to emphasize different things about Iraq than say a newspaper in Jordan....but both stories should be based on the same "facts." Like the fact that American forces went into Iraq at a certain date, that a certain battle happen at a particular place or a certain number of people were killed or injured. The reasons for what is happening can be debated but the "facts" should not be.
Postmodernists in general, would suggest that the American and Jordan newspapers should not even be able to agree on things like places and the times of events in Iraq. I think this is a position that verges on anarchism. There are things that both sides can agree are "facts."
But the story of another Jordan....Eason Jordan would suggest that post modernism complicates the issue of the debate over "facts" even more than that between Arab and American. His are unsubstantiated allegations about crimes allegedly committed by members of the American military against journalists.
One of the cardinal tenets of post modernism is its claim of “moral relativity.” That in fact there is no moral standard. From my perspective, one of the prime motivations for Jordan’s allegations at the Davos conference was to “knock” the U.S. morality down a notch or two…and who really needs “facts” to do this when one is a post modernist.
