For anyone following the story of BIll Moyer's libel against former Reagn Sec. of Interior James Watt.
Pressure was brought to bear on Bill Moyers by PowerLine and several other internet sources for complete fabrication of a quote meant to paint conservatives and Christians as "theocrats" blinded by "radical religious ideology"
After this issue was mentioned on Powerline and FR it was picked up by O'Reilly. While O'Reilly is probably just as clueless as Moyers as to how the internet is changing the media he does have a wider forum (rightly or wrongly). Moyers has now offered up a "fake but accurate" apology for his fabricated quote. The Minneapolis Star Tribune has also agreed to run Watt's response to Moyer's original article.
Some questions from "Gannon" aren't tough enough and he's run out of town, Bill Moyers and the WaPo completely fabricate quotes from Congressional Testimony and an apology is ok.
Ain't that last ssentence the truth.
Sounds like political "pornography" to me...
Watt is an unusually generous person.
Glad to see this even half hearted apology..Moyers was busted.So much for the accuracy of main stream media.
Hope your grandfather feels better.
