Mary Jo would be 65 this year had she not been murdered by Teddy driving in a drunken stupor.
A Mary Jo Kopechne bump. After all, she suffocated to death in the back of Ted Kennedy's sunken car in 1969, and yet Teddy swam away from it, with the help of Massachusetts justice.

The good news is that he seems to be a profoundly unhappy, bitter man.....alcoholic, two (better) brothers gunned down, failed marriages, lapsed Catholic, and now, obviously confused and controlled by his demons. He deserves every bit of it.

Your point is well taken, but I think Clint's character was referring to death, which, indeed, is coming for each of us. I was referring to Teddy's miserable life.

His demons control him? They've a lot to answer for then since he obviously cannot control himself.
Seems the good Senator is getting much negative press these days as everyone is bringing up Mary Jo's death. He'll have to live with it though...he was there.
Can't feel a tad sorry for him. Not when he tries to demonize President Bush with no truth to his attacks. Let's face it:
"This Senator has failed miserably in his attempt to live and behave like a decent human being."
Thank you for posting her picture. As long as Teddy Kennedy breathes air....her picture needs to be out there, lest people forget, or never heard of.
