Art is correct about the liberal part, and might be correct regarding size as well.

I just signed up my husband as a birthday gift. I gave him an AARP membership when he turned 50, mostly as a gag to remind him of his age--and that he was older than I am. But this is a real gift. No more AARP.

The AARP takes your money , but when is the last time they asked any of the members what they thought of their liberal policies. Its almost like being a Republican in a Union.

More than almost, good analogy. Art Linkletter was on Cavuto the other day, he has aged so well, he's as sharp as a tack, I think he's 94.

We also compared their pharmacies and found Costco to be cheaper. My husband bought one of their life insturance policies, but I have one I bought from AAA years ago that's much cheaper.

Every month I get junk from AARP and every month I send it back asking them to leave me alone. They are harder to get rid of than a nagging backache. Find the business reply envelope in the packet and tape it to a brick and mail it back.
That usually gets their attention......and if it doesn't, it depletes their funds.

I also know Charlie Jarvis. I kept wondering if he was the man I knew about 25 years ago, found his picture and there he was. I liked him the. Met he and his wife while living on Capitol Hill. Great people.

Oh man, speaking of this.....
The other night I had an "interesting conversation" with a teacher friend of mine where I pointed out to her some of the things that were being done with her NEA union dues. It was a real eye-opener for her.
