America's top radio talker Rush Limbaugh was greeted like a rock star on Monday during an appearance in San Jose, California, while taking a few days off from his regular broadcast to play in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament.
The packed house at the San Jose Civic Auditorium "welcomed him with a standing ovation," reported the San Jose Mercury News. "There were no hecklers or protesters, and the only shouts were of love for the host," the paper said.
"We are in the midst of a seminal historic shift in this country," Limbaugh told the audience. "The Democrat party and the media have lost their monopoly. They don't rule the roost anymore."
The watershed political moment would have amazed his father, the top talker observed. "If my father could see what's happened today, just the sight of the Democrat party would extend his life by 10 years."
That's one reason conservatives have nothing to fear from Hillary Clinton, he assured those on hand.
Still, the GOP faces a major political problem that can no longer be ignored, he warned. "The Republicans' failure to understand the American people's building rage on illegal immigration" could give rise to a third party candidate, he said, who could tip the 2008 presidential race to the Democrats, much the same way Ross Perot's campaign did in 1992.
Limbaugh also seemed to revise earlier criticism of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for not being conservative enough, telling the audience, "I was wrong."
2,700 people paid $40 a piece to see Limbaugh live. Proceeds from the event will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a charity Limbaugh has supported since he went national in 1988.
Listen, I want you to hear this, ok? Whenever someone wants to know something, it would be pretty helpful if you didn't reduce yourself to personal insults. GROW UP!! how many threads have you seen on FR that, no matter what they start with, end up being postings of Ann Coulter or Laura Ingraham or the Fox News babes? The threads evolve. That's the beauty of FR - it's a CONVERSATION. With more than one participant. With more than one viewpoint. You have yours, I have mine, Tonk has his. The next time you want an honest conversation with someone, try to keep from insults. It will result in a much more productive conversation.
"All I need to know is he lives on FR"
LOL, you are one funny poster!
Tonk posted his 'information' numerous times and was ignored, that is until I was STUPID enough to respond. Note that I was warned, and I ignored the warning. Lessons learned.
===
The owner of the site, Jim Robinson, supports "Tonk's" threads, 100%. I hope you did learn the lesson.
If some folks could just scroll on by.............
"Lets see. I imagine with all the effort he puts posting this stuff here, he could at least be precinct chairman."
Independents have precinct chairmans?
Where do I sign up? LOL
TomB has "homework" to do.

I think I'll let JimRob speak for himself, since you called on him.
Benefit of doubt is on you. You're the one complaining about Tonk, and you know nothing.
The owner of the FR site where you post is Jim Robinson; and he supports what Tonk posts 100%.
So, there's a point you may want to consider, Hot Tobasco!
Times up!
You had all day to "prove" your false accusations.
Next time you accuse someone have the proof.
Please give me a brief summary on what Rush has said about these "goalposts"
and how I made false accusations against Rush.
Note the dates also
"Rush won't even ask him, in 2005,
when he will sign Form 180.
Or why Hanoi Kerry is still in the US Senate.
Or when Hanoi Kerry will set the record straight
on his false testimony in April 71"

Remember you accused me of "moving goalposts"
Well, if you want him to visit, you might want to address it to him, too, so he sees it. Don't worry, I did it for you here.
Yes, dear, I know you called on JimRob. I can read. Now, we wait.
Yes, dear.
Why you want to bother a busy man like JimRob with such piddly pooh threads like this, I cannot understand.
Oh, and you should know that JimRob NEVER supports ANY posters or posts 100%. He judges each post or thread individually.

Just be patient! LOL!
While I respect your opinion, I can't help but ask why you would post that here, knowing that you are offending quite a few people. I'd also like to say that Rush is more than just a "radio personality". I dare you to turn his show on, any day, at any time. I guarantee within the first 10 minutes you'll learn something you didn't know before. If nothing's new to you, then you are the one who should have a radio show.
You know that he judges each post or thread individually? how?
"As my grandma always said "he sure thinks a lot of hisself"

My Mom taught me never to write out something you wouldn't want spashed across headline news. My Grandma was even smarter.
68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub's posts deserve headlines!!!
Hedgecock. Shrubmanhood. It's like the DUers saying "Shrub" instead of "Bush."
Thank you for standing with Tonk!
