A member of the radical Islamic movement Hamas has been killed in a blast in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian medical sources and witnesses say the cause of the blast is not immediately known.
Two other people were slightly wounded in the explosion near the home of the victim.
An Israeli military spokesman says there was no army activity in the region at the time of the blast.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced at a summit with Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas yesterday his armed forces would cease all military activity against all Palestinians.
"Natural causes. People just explode."

Workplace accident?
Well, that didn't take long..............now what happens?

Make a new worthless peace agreement! What else?
Hamas said they were exempt from the truce. Hmmm....
One down....
More of them blowing themselves up?
Maybe, and I'm speculating here, the PA blew this guy up.
Not likely, but I'm an optimist.
Cell phone go boom?
Instant karma
Apparantly having "Ahmed the Epileptic" build their bombs isn't quite working out as well as Hamas thought it might.

Body of Hamas militant found in Gaza 09/02/2005 - 14:00:31
A Palestinian man has been found dead outside the Khan Younis refugee camp in the southern Gaza.
The body of Hassan Alami, a Hamas militant, was discovered near the Gush Katif settlement enclave with his arms blown off and bad burns on his face and chest, Palestinian doctors said.
Witnesses said they did not hear the sound of Israeli tank shells or missiles in the area, leading to speculation that Alami may have been killed trying to plant an explosive device near the settlements.
Hamas said he was killed in a work accident meaning he was either building a bomb or trying to plant one.
They did not provide more details.
In another incident, gunfire coming from a Jewish settlement critically wounded a second Palestinian man.
The 22-year-old man was shot in the abdomen while walking near the settlement on the border with Egypt and was in serious condition, the Palestinian officials said.

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel ping list.

WARNING: This is a high volume ping list
To be serious ... not everyone wants a cease fire and all it takes is one splinter group to gen up an explosion. The real proof of the cease fire is that both sides take no retaliatory action and that the PA takes action to identify the bomber and his splinter faction. Then you know the truce is for real.
yeah!
Terrorists testing the belt again.
Nice to see the cease fire (time to rearm and reequip) is working so well. (SARCASM OFF)
