Because of the attention being paid to me I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News. In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life.

The facts are a pseudo-journalist with no background used a false name to get WH access. And got caught. And is running, not fighting. If you're ok with then good for you. I say it stinks and was stupid.

Many people use aliases, especially authors. I won't be surprised if some journalists do the same thing. If it was revealed that Helen Thomas was actually Mary-Beth McNutcase I won't be surprised, nor would I be particularly upset about it. Who cares? Anyways, with Gannon I suspect he was afraid his sexual preferences may be dug up and used as a bat to beat him with if he used his real name.
She's definitely that...considering how long she's been hangin' out here, I'm surprised that she has failed to pick up anything in the way of conservativism...MUD

Ok, let me be specific...if a non-reporter had been given WH Press Corps credentials under a false name and then fed Bubba nothing but soft balls and then was uncovered by freepers as a fraud do you really believe that the reaction here would have been the same? Be honest.

I know I'm out of step on this one, but why should we believe a guy who uses a phony name? Drama queens use pseudonyms, not people with nothing to hide.
