Jeff Gannon

A Voice of the New Media

The voice goes silent.

Because of the attention being paid to me I find it is no longer possible to effectively be a reporter for Talon News. In consideration of the welfare of me and my family I have decided to return to private life.

Thank you to all those who supported me.

Instead of giving up ridicule for Lent, why don't you try kneeling while you thrust and parry so you don't enjoy it as much.

You can say a decade of the rosary each time you slice and dice.

What credentials do any of the other White House journalists hold that Jeff Gannon does not?

The point is that unlike "Jeff Gannon" (not his real name), none of the other WH journalists are publicly homophobes responsible for "m4m" websites.

Frankly, as a taxpayer I'd be more disturbed by my tax dollars going to armstrong williams and others and want to know why the PR budget under this group is double what it used to be?

Have you bothered reading the transcript of the press conference in question? I saw it LIVE and I've read it and guess what topic came up?

Go ahead, you'll never guess.

Press Conference

excerpt:

Q Mr. President, do you think it's a proper use of government funds to pay commentators to promote your policies?

THE PRESIDENT: No.

Q Are you going to order that --

THE PRESIDENT: Therefore, I will not pay you to -- (laughter.)

Q Fair enough. Are you ordering that there be an end to that practice?

THE PRESIDENT: Yes, I am. I expect my Cabinet Secretaries to make sure that that practice doesn't go forward. There needs to be independence. And Mr. Armstrong Williams admitted he made a mistake. And we didn't know about this in the White House, and there needs to be a nice, independent relationship between the White House and the press, the administration and the press. So, no, we shouldn't be going for it.

Yes, sir.

Q Well, Mr. Williams made a mistake --

THE PRESIDENT: Who?

Q Mr. Williams made a mistake. Did the Department of Education make a mistake?

THE PRESIDENT: Yes. They did.

Q What will happen to the people that made this decision?

THE PRESIDENT: We've got new leadership going to the Department of Education. But all our Cabinet Secretaries must realize that we will not be paying commentators to advance our agenda. Our agenda ought to be able to stand on its own two feet. I'm confident you'll be, over the course of the next four years, willing to give our different policies an objective look -- won't you? Yes, I can see that.

~snip~

I'll bet you'll never guess in a million years under whose administration the practice began, but I hope I set your mind at ease now that you know it will not continue.

Frankly I had no problem with the specific Williams or Gallagher situations and I can defend why, but you seem to be proceeding as if the status quo were still in effect. As you can see, it's not.

He's the ugly face of conservatism, and that suits them just fine.

The most common line I keep hearing from Janeane Garofalo and other lefties on the MSNBC pundit shows these days is "I can't believe I am agreeing with Pat Buchanan".

That boy oughta just go ahead and marry Arianna Huffington so they can carpool as they chase cameras.

Good question about David Brock; but whether or not he is gay is, IMHO, a side issue. He's obviously a strategerist. And anything he can do to sell "Mr. Dean" is obviously paramount. And if he sucessfully helps the "gay marriage" issue, this then gives him inner access to the "Dem" Circle, no? Not to mention money he makes from taking the positions he takes: speaker? Columns? Books?

Great line from the original flick, M*A*S*H: Uh-oh.. their ringer has spotted our ringer. David Brock is obviously a ringer. The issue could be on just about anything. But I do perceive that "Gay Marriage" is the theme by which Dems are hoping to unite their disparate coalitions. It's about *love* and *sex*.. and puppy dogs. I perceive this to be their "equality in morals posture" angle.

Personally, I found the beatniks, hippies and flower children to be more entertaining.

"I thought it was A+Bert?"

You did, huh.
Y'know ordinarily I'd say you could be right.

But given ol' A+Bert's age?
I highly doubt he could've done the *deed* on his own volition; and, not because he's not "The" verile male monster of the midway, either.
Oh no-no-no.
More because Murray Mom's so damned ugly.

Did you know there's been only one known instance of a human male able to *maintain*?
Yup, and that person's Mud.

Of course using a turkey baster anything's possible I suppose, but word was ol' Mud's trick had *something* to do with an ordinary A&P brown paper shopping bag.

Again this is only scuttlebutt & naturally out of fairness I wouldn't wanna start anything, OK?

"Liberal drinker...they'd have little fat teddy kennedys"

Great.
Thanks for the image that conjures. :o)

Look if A+Bert had gotten in there -- ahead or behind Mud -- do you realize what'd that mean?
There're *two* of these schizophrenic menaces running amok, both birthed by Murray Mom, the board's biggest boor.

Think of it, half Liberal drinker.

...& half Pubbie Stinker. ;^)

You rewrite history at every turn.

The Dow tanked month after month under clinton. I bought most of my stocks at bargain basement prices. The only thing that held the market afloat was the Dot com Bubble and
the bail out of one of the huge leverage funds.

The Dot Com bubble burst before Bush was inagurated.

Clinton did nothing to support the economy. The good enconomy he happened to preside over was due the the Ronald Regan tax cuts.

The recession was the Clinton recession.

Brock obviously has a 'woody' and is going all out to discredit conservatives, or those perceived as conservatives... anything to shut them up, or deny them a job.

Yes and while Libs claim President Bush is putting people out of jobs. More "health care" is the foil. What we need are Medical Savings Accounts. But libs? "Save for a rainy day"? In the perfect lib world, there are no "rainy days" as mankind is master of the universe.... IF only the right liberal man were president, alas and alack!

my only point is that the SUDDEN resignation of JG seems very odd...

Do you mean odd -as in liberal odd or very very very very odd -as in a kerryesque coquettish odd?
