Didn't he run on a "$200,000 for every state chairperson" platform? The old dem "grassroots system" -- pay 'em for their vote...
He overcame a large field of rivals in the DNC leadership race by using the same grass-roots and Internet organizing skills that he says he wants to put to work on behalf of a party still reeling from last year's disastrous defeat.

The former Vermont governor became the champion of the Democrats' anti-war wing in the party's 2004 presidential nomination battle, but did not win a single primary outside of his home state. They forgot to mention that he got Al Gore's endorsement.

Dean is too conservative. They should have drafted Ward Churchill to the job. He's so perfect in every way!

What are the odds that Dean shapes the platform and the major Democrat candidates that run in '06 and '08 simply ignore it?

I have no clue where they are going with Dean except the anti-war, college crowd. The RATS lose them they are toast.

The Dumbs are turning into the modern version of the Whig Party. But it gets even worse because the Whigs at least had Daniel Webster and Henry Clay.

Hill must figure Dean will energize college age voters....the ones who were supposed to vote last time, but didn't show up at the polls. Whatever. Hill controls everything.

'...party still reeling from last year's disastrous defeat...' That is worth savoring. The gift that keeps on giving.
