THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Former presidential candidate Howard Dean, who opposed the Iraq war and sought to repeal all of the Bush tax cuts, will become chairman of the Democratic National Committee on Saturday over the objections of party centrists. Critics say Mr. Dean is too liberal to appeal to a broader electorate. The former Vermont governor became the champion of the Democrats' anti-war wing in the party's 2004 presidential nomination battle, but did not win a single primary outside of his home state. He overcame a large field of rivals in the DNC leadership race by using the same grass-roots and Internet organizing skills that he says he wants to put to work on behalf of a party still reeling from last year's disastrous defeat.

Gee....and kerry isn't even being considered?....:))
They forgot to mention that he got Al Gore's endorsement.
Dean is too conservative. They should have drafted Ward Churchill to the job. He's so perfect in every way!
Kiss of death, if there ever was one ;-)
Howdy, partner! Great to see you -- nite.
ROFLMAO!
Nope, even though Kerry served in Vietnam...did you know that Kerry served in Vietnam?
;-)
What are the odds that Dean shapes the platform and the major Democrat candidates that run in '06 and '08 simply ignore it?
Really? Do you think it would have had an impact on the election if people had known?
I have no clue where they are going with Dean except the anti-war, college crowd. The RATS lose them they are toast.
Whose Kerry?
lol
The Dumbs are turning into the modern version of the Whig Party. But it gets even worse because the Whigs at least had Daniel Webster and Henry Clay.
Hill must figure Dean will energize college age voters....the ones who were supposed to vote last time, but didn't show up at the polls. Whatever. Hill controls everything.
'...party still reeling from last year's disastrous defeat...' That is worth savoring. The gift that keeps on giving.
