Nebraska celebrates red like nowhere else--fitting for a land that has not voted Democrat in a presidential election since 1964. Settled by German immigrants and Republican Union soldiers after the Civil War, Nebraska was born conservative. The DUmmies punted Nebraska a long time ago--as as Nebraska is about the most "average" state in the union, when it comes to values, well, the DUmmies will continue to lose and lose and lose and lose.....

You got me, sir; I voted for Hagel in 1996 (against Nelson), but that was the last time I voted for him--just as I had voted for Specter in 1980 (against Flaherty), in Pennsylvania, but that was the last time I voted for him, too.

I was born and raised in Nebraska a long time ago. At heart I am still a Husker fan!

Nebraska has been a conservative state for a long time, even when it went Democratic for the first time due to Republican due to their corruption (they been in power a long time and they got that way). Even Democratic they were pretty conservative. The DUmmies didn't like that!

I've been in Texas for 35 years now but still a Husker fan! Always a Husker fan! LOL

The 2/14/05 copy of the U.S. News has a few pages dedicated to the Democrats' Dilemma with Nebraska cited in the main feature. Gloria Borger, in another article, talks about Montana and their voting history.
