It doesn't matter that he knows, he needs to know we don't approve and the only way he is going to know it is if we flood him with these articles. If I have to do it myself I will.

I don't know about your government officials but I've given up on contacting mine because the only people they seem to listen to are those that contribute to their campaigns. Call me "disillusioned".

Even the illegal immigration apologists out there have to admit, this is just plain f@#king insane!>>>>>>>
You would think so, however, there seems to be *limited* posts from any of them on this subject, here, & from this thread only a few days ago.

Also this little tidbit, seems to confirm the 'pubs' & 'dems' are uniting on this subject. (looks like they were also planning 'February Sweeps' last Aug.....;o)
"Ortiz and Texas Republican Rep. Henry Bonilla wrote to President Bush and former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge last August protesting what they termed a "catch and release" policy but received no response."

It is time to build an electrified fence with entry/exit points with armed guards. ANYONE attempting to come or go without passing through legally, will be arrested and jailed. Those from other countries will be sent home, and a bill sent to their country of origin. Let them sort it out, or execute them for all I care. Make proof of citizenship for legitimate employment the standard here, levy massive fines to employers that hire illegals, and shut off the social service pipeline for them. There, I have fixed the problem, all it took was a willingness to enforce the law.

Nice to see the 'new poll' showing majority of Freepers against 'open borders'.
So where is the protest against these thousands of OTM's (in TX only) that are simply released (daily) on a *promise* to appear ??
Looks like it's 'open borders' for the 70% that simply disappear into our country.

Gov't never has a problem enforcing our laws against citizens. That's the truth. Try evading taxes by hiring Americans and not paying into Social Security. Try hiring Americans and not having workman's comp or folloing OSHA laws. Hire illegals instead and you're off scot-free -- the government knows full well what is going on but you will not be prosecuted.

LOL.......I wonder if this *amnesty* for illegal employers would *also* apply to any employers admitting they weren't paying taxes on Americans they were paying 'under the table' ???
Sadly, I have not heard anything else from any *other* medias concerning the 'capture & release' of so many OTM's, yearly, in TX.........have you ???
