A PRAYER OF PROTECTION
The light of God surround you
The love of God enfold you
The power of God protect you
The presence of God watch over you
Wherever you are, God is,
And all is well.
Amen.

BLESS THIS HOUSE
 Bless this house O Lord we pray; Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout, Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall, Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove ever open to joy and love.
Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there, with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within, keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we May dwell O Lord with thee.

 The rolling rally for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots traveled down Cambridge Street just across from City Hall.

Hunter Schneider works on a poster at the Fort Story, Va., recreation center on Saturday. The poster is to celebrate the return of his father, Sgt. Jon Schneider, and other members of the 368th Cargo Transportation Company when they arrive next week.

At Fort Story even the grade schoolers have to go to school on Saturdays in order to learn how to make great posters.

Spc. Cody Cavender, with the 116th Rear Operations Center, gets a welcome home kiss from his girlfriend, Candy Morgado, on Monday at Camp Murray, Wash., after he and other members of his National Guard unit returned from a deployment to Iraq that lasted more than a year.

Honey, I shrunk the insurgency!

A boat crew from Coast Guard Station New Orleans patrols the Mississippi River on Monday during Lundi Gras festivities. The Coast Guard was responsible for transporting the king and queen of the Rex and Zulu krewes by boat in order to kick off the Lundi Gras celebration.

Lundi Gras was invented because there were simply not enough hours in the day for Mardi Gras.

A Landing Craft Utility (LCU) maneuvers into position to enter into the well deck of the amphibious assault ship Saipan (LHA 2) in the Caribbean Sea on Friday. The LCU is assigned to Assault Craft Unit Two (ACU-2), currently embarked aboard the Saipan.

I want this deck swabbed, and you Ensign are going to be held personally responsible if the job is not completed by eight bells!

An F-117A Nighthawk from Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., flies high over the mountains during a training mission.

Perhaps I am picky but isn't it very unusual for the Air Force to fly under mountains?

Staff Sgt. Fred Cowell uses a high-pressure washer to remove ice and snow from a satellite dish at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. The effort returned critical satellite communication signals to normal. Cowell is assigned to the 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron's vehicle maintenance branch.

Marines from America's Battalion leap from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter hovering just above the snowy hills of Korangal during their insertion for Operation Spurs. In Afghanistan.

Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly working helicopter into a snow drift? Only the Marines know the answer to that question.

Lance Cpl. Dan Robert, a Squad Automatic Weapon gunner with Lima Company, charges forward through the deep snow of the Hindu Kush mountains to his squad's next objective during cordon-and-search operations as part of Operation Spurs this week in Afghanistan.

You call that deep? When I was a kid the snow used to be 8 feet high and there were no camera people up ahead.

Josh Ploetz, a machine gunner with Lima Company, looks over the sights of his M240G machine gun as another CH-47 Chinook helicopter prepares to drop medical supplies near the Marines' position high in the Hindu Kush mountains during Operation Spurs in Afghanistan.

Typical Marine action involving shooting 'em and then supplying 'em with band-aids.

Jesse James, from the TV show ‘Monster Garage’, straps himself into the Belly Tank Lakester at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. Cameras captured James and the car recently during several speed runs down the runway at the base for an upcoming show. The car was made from the drop tank of an F-4 Phantom.

The new fangled vehicle has been designated also as the Amateur-Uncle, as well as the Con-Can.

Marines exercise in a makeshift weights room set up at their base in a partly destroyed house in the center of the heavily guarded city of Fallujah, Iraq, Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005.

The Gold's Gym in Fallujah is still a bit Spartan, but expectations by the proprietors for a successful business venture are high.

A girl carries a mattress on her head as she approaches a checkpoint leading into the heavily guarded city of Fallujah, Iraq, Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005.

In Iraq some children are still not taught to not play with mattresses.
