Good.
Semper Fi Gen. Mattis.
There are those in this country who seem to be unaware that a country maintains its military for only one reason, and it is to close with its enemies and destroy them.
How fortunate for our country that we have such men as General Mattis: Men who destroy our enemies and enjoy doing it.

Semper Fi! bump
I'm not all that bothered by the pukes who have turned up fuming over Gen Mattis's remarks--we always knew they were there--but it serves to reinforce that Mattis IS there--and a few more like him--that's what counts--and it's so refreshing, to say the least!
So, I'm sitting with a bunch of guys at our annual American Legion Superbowl party yesterday, and we started talking about General Mattis.
Greg looks at me and says "he was my General" and smiles. He said that this is just the way he is. Greg said Marine Generals get away with saying stuff like that, but the Army Generals could never. (Gregs brother is an Army Major in Iraq right now, graduated West Point, sibling rivalry)
Anyway, Greg graduated from Annapolis, and was in Iraq for the march to Bagdhad. He was standing around talking with some buddies when the General joined them. They were concerned about the media's portrayal of them and the "peace demonstrations" back home.
General Mattis said "fellas, when you get back home go up to one of them peace hippies, shake his hand and thank him for the opportunity to serve and protect him. Then turn and wink at his girl cause she's gonna know right then that she's with a pu__y, and you'll be in the sack by 10:00."
Man, he made us all crack up with that one, but, again, that's just the way this General is.
The only people upset about the General's remarks are those who would like to see this country digress into a third world country.
Do they expect our guys to go in hating their job? That'd be some kind of crappy military. The left is so limpy. It's just sickening.
General "Mad Dog" Mattis
"Actually, it's a lot of fun to fight. You know, it's a hell of a hoot. ... It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right upfront with you, I like brawling." He added, "You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them."
It turns out there actually are "military ethicists." One of them, Jeff McCausland, director of the Leadership in Conflict Initiative (at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa.) called General Mattis' remarks "unprofessional and inappropriate" and noted that they send a "terrible message" to those serving under him.
err.....It's exactly the right message to send....terrible like in "terrible swift sword"....terrorists take note....I like it. This Jeff McCausland sounds like a pussy.
Hey - the guy enjoys his work. How many of us can honestly say the same?
