Many airlines have "hardship" flights, which means you can fly at a lesser rate due to family crisis. Call and ask!

As ETERNAL WARMING said, many airlines do have hardship flights. If you post where you are and need to get to, then we can help more. USAir gave me a hardship fare many years ago. It was the lowest supersaver they had. Best wishes and our prayers are with you.

Call any airline. They all have "emergency" rates for people in your situation.
Call all the airlines that service where you need to go and as someone else mentioned ask for their hardship fares. In the past I've found that Southwest has the best rates for this situation.
You aren't selfish in asking the Lord for help. Trust in the Lord and know that He has heard your (and our) prayers. I pray that you are able to find an affordable flight and get to see your mother and that it is not her time yet. God bless you and your mother and calm your fears. Amen.
Sounds like my mom! You need to call and tell her to let the doctors do what they need to do.
She requested they stop resuscitating her sometime around 10:00 PST although they kept it up anyway (yeah brave nurses and docs!) so that a local sibling could get to the hospital in time.
I sincerely hope you've misconstrued what happened here! If she requested they no longer perform CPR, they are ethically obligated to respect the patient's request. Talk about trampling on her dignity and humanity. Shameful. Selfish. Human. Flawed. Now get on a plane!
