Who would you say is to blame?
Public school "teachers" are not qualified to teach children whose IQ is above average.
Why are teachers not qualified? (rhetorical question:). Because they were educated to be teachers in the corrupt system. Vicious cycle.
Personally, I don't necessarily agree that "teachers" are not qualified. I believe there are a lot of good teachers out there. They do the best they can in a corrupt system, with a corrupt education.

How can teachers be better then the system that educated them? Why has the system gotten so bad?

Not all education comes from a "system". Anyone who can read can enlighten themselves and has a door to all the wisdom of the world.
Excellent thread. Lots of good points and comments.
If you want on/off the ping list see my profile page.
Looking at your freeper web page it's obvious you have many references about homosexuality which might have furthered the discussion about that aspect of topic at hand. More so than read a book or I don't have time to answer.
Too, looking at many of your post yon FR you seem to be a rather one demensional fellow when it comes to the subject of homosexuality?
A wiser man than I noted "we become what we fear."
Have fun dude.
As a youngster, I never would have dreamed of home schooling.
Now, I help, a lot, the parents of kids who actually are pioneering this work.
I'll repeat the question you keep dodging: At what age should kids, in school, confront homosexuals? For reference, see post 58.
Hey, do you know if the contest is still ongoing about the first to be called a homosexual in a thread? In post 187 I was accused of being a homosexual... do I win anything or is the contest over?
You may be right, but since we don't see many of them step forward to expose the corruption to the taxpayers, to God, and to everybody else, it is difficult to differentiate the good teachers from the rank and file corrupted and perverse NEA members.
When teachers run for public office, as far too many eventually do, they just perpetuate the corruption from more influential positions. The whole setup needs to be scrapped, the money returned to the taxpayers, and let the parents make the decisions for their childrens' education.
Anybody take note of or reference...
Education, which is codified as General Laws Chapter 71, Section 32A.
Sometimes referred to as the Parental Notification Law, § 32A requires each school committee to adopt and publish a policy by September 1, 1997 ensuring that *****parents and guardians are notified about any curriculum that primarily involves human sexual education or human sexuality issues, and permitting them to exempt their children from any portion of that curriculum without penalty.****
Schools are to make instructional materials for said curricula reasonably accessible to parents, guardians and others for inspection and review. A copy of § 32A is enclosed as Attachment 1.

Um. No, I didn't. I asked you for clarification on your question (below) from post 58:
When your kids do confront a homosexual what will their response be?This was my request for clarification in post 76:
Within the context of schools: At what age should kids confront a homosexual? For some reason you, apparently, feel threatened by my request for clarification. Then in post 90 you said:
The subject should be framed in a broader context and age appropriate. So I keep asking... what is that appropriage age? Since we're talking about school aged kids, is K-12 an appropriate age?
The question has always been: what school age range were you thinking when you asked: When your kids do confront a homosexual what will their response be? Is it K-12 or some other less inclusive range? And if so, what range?
Scripter, I think you're beating your head against a wall there. Might as well write off the time and effort.
I'm retired now, but when I worked I was quite dedicated to the kids, and athletic teams, and clubs. I was not a good union sole however and saw far too many teachers who went to work, held their classes, and left as soon as they could. They resisted hall and yard duty and supported the union because the union was supporting them. But kids who think for themselves at that age are very rare, and this is why its so bad to have a bunch of lefties who (1) convince the kids that they (the lefties) are smart and (2) convince the kids that anything republicans support is evil.
This sets up the concept that left wing ideas are the only ones that "smart" people believe in and that the lefties somehow "know" what is best for the poor, the middle class, the retired folk, ...
It would appear so. Sometimes I just can't help but try to make it all a little more clear, but in this instance, that's apparently not going to make any difference.
I'll have you know that I teach in a public school and I do a fine job. I am a Christian women and I have not once compromised my beliefs. I have 2 pictures of President Bush in my classroom and had a Bush/Kerry sign on my car and my classroom door. My Bible sits on my desk and I have used Biblical stories many times in my classroom, as have other teachers in my school.
You on the other hand feel perfectly okay with tossing out bombshell statements designed to degrade and humiliate.
Who is the better example for children?
Better yet, why doesn't every parent exercise his/her choice on what his/her kids learn, or what values they have, or how important education is in the home, or help them with their homework, or work with the teacher, or help in the classroom, or volunteer for the PTA, or go to school board meetings, or ....you get the picture.
