Ah yes, standard accusation #42 - accuse 'em of being a homosexual. Gee, I've never heard that one before.

I'll repeat the question you keep dodging: At what age should kids, in school, confront homosexuals? For reference, see post 58.

"I'll repeat the question you keep dodging: At what age should kids, in school, confront homosexuals?"

Why do they "***need*** to confront homosexuals" at all? I didn't advocate that anymore than I would advocate they "need to confront Jews" or or any other group different from themselves for that matter, so I'm not sure where you're question is coming from?

You may recall, but I'm beginning to have my doubts, the original question was "how will your kid react when they do meet.....?

You re-framed it in the proverbial "When did you stop beating your wife argument."

You assertions that there is an attempt to dodge is so Clintionesque, accuse someone of doing the very thing you're doing.

This doesn't advance the discussion at all and appears to be such that you described as the behavior of a troll.

I see the matter of homosexuality much like a matter of cursing. I didn't allow it in my house when my kids were small and tried to avoid it on from the TV.

But I'm also a realist enough to know that not all parents are that conscious of the issue and don't care what their kids say and don't set an example. Accordingly, it's pretty much inevitable that my kids would encounter someone with a trash mouth and I "educated" them accordingly.

A child educated and given information can react in an appropriate manner. Those left in the dark or shielded from society are left ignorant and their reaction may not be desirable. A parent has choices. They can educate themsleves, they can let the school do it or they can opt out of certain portions of education as stated in the MA school policies.
