Fifteen presumed North Korean defectors who had settled in South Korea were arrested for trying to sneak into the U.S. The Los Angeles-based Association of People From Five Northern Provinces said on Sunday it learned that 15 North Koreans were arrested by U.S. Border Patrol as they tried to smuggle themselves into the U.S. from Tijuana, Mexico. But the association¡¯s president Kim Ho-jeong added it remained to be confirmed whether the 15 really were defectors.
The 15, who are being held at an immigration detention center in San Diego, California, said they intended to seek political asylum in the U.S. after previously settling in South Korea. Kim Yong, the head of another defectors¡¯ association in Los Angeles, said that under U.S. law such individuals were usually deported.

Of course, there is no threat from an open river of illegal immigrants coming through Mexico...

You've visited El Paso, too.

Send them back.
I've been a little sour on Koreans the last few years since my center hired a 30-something South Korean who immediately made statements like:
1) "Oh, Kim Jong-Il is not so bad".
2) "The US military have taken all the best land in South Korea for their bases and installations and should get out".

Maybe the Mexican government will translate their "how to" comic into N. Korean and whatever else language is needed for "border crossing".

Agents, nothing but. The average North Korean could not "escape" to South Korea. These are infiltrators to the South who had the training and financial backing necessary to get from NK to the US. To even think that thet are anything less is to invoke Polyanna.
