JUST FOR TODAY

As I go through some "troubles" in my own life, I've worked out this "formula" to help me be a useful and happy person. See if it doesn't work for you!

JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be happy. I will assume to be true what Abraham Lincoln said: "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."

JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out. I will do at least two things I don't want to do just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courteously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything, and not try to improve or regulate anybody but myself.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have lt. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a quiet half hour all by myself. During this half hour, I will try and get a better perspective of my life.

JUST FOR TODAY: I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give back to me.

I think Michael Douglas is one of the DemoBots. But he's an actor. Face time is probably a good motivator. He'll say anything. Yuck! You would think they could find a true patriot!!

She has a friend, you know,
but someone the Night doesn't always show,
As the winds in the pines begin to blow
it's not much of a mystery...

Someone asked me, the other day,
"Do you see things that aren't there?"
I replied, "I have the Poet's answer,
You asked, well have a care,
because the answer is plain!"

They can't see with my colors,
or dance with my music,
or smile my secret smiles
which are only ours to share
but if they don't follow, what do I care,
because The Dance is before me
and cares are behind me,

and I can see the stars in daylight,
or feel the leprechaun's whisper in my ear,
I see starlight mischief in someone's eyes,
or feel love's tears on my cheek,
or ANY OF A THOUSAND things
all because of My Twilight Dance!!!

While we enjoy the Superbolw today and while we're mentioning former Presidents as well...let us all pause and remember that today ROnald Reagan would have been 94.

God bless you Mr. President and thank you for showing us the way to that shining city on the hill that you so deservedly live in right now.

She did. I dribbled a little on the butter paper and had her put it in the fridge for a minute.
