JUST FOR TODAY
As I go through some "troubles" in my own life, I've worked out this "formula" to help me be a useful and happy person. See if it doesn't work for you!
JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once.
JUST FOR TODAY: I will be happy. I will assume to be true what Abraham Lincoln said: "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
JUST FOR TODAY: I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.
JUST FOR TODAY: I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires.
JUST FOR TODAY: I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out. I will do at least two things I don't want to do just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.
JUST FOR TODAY: I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courteously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything, and not try to improve or regulate anybody but myself.
JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have lt. I will save myself from two pests: hurry and indecision.
JUST FOR TODAY: I will have a quiet half hour all by myself. During this half hour, I will try and get a better perspective of my life.
JUST FOR TODAY: I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give back to me.

Sarge to Jen: Report to Canteen Sickbay Immediately!
Computer: Activate Canteen EMH!

It's Jen, Doc - possible flu relapse, TLC treatment Regimen in effect!

There is.
He really does have twin scars on his forehead.
Right about where horns would be.

Star, I love that Jo Dee Messina song! I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago and burst out laughing.
Sing along now:
I really wanna care,
I wanna feel somethin'
Let me dig a little deeper...
Nope...
Sorry...
Nothin'
My give a damn's busted!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!

They aren't very deelish.
The buffalo wings are more passable and the chicken is better, if the traypac was heated right.
(I dunno if they are having traypac though.)
Nothing much can be done with the sausages.
Except use them as some horrid weapon against someone.

Saw the video for this song for the first time this morning.
Lemme tell ya, if you've not seen it before, ya need a whole dang box of Kleenex.Chely Wright - Bumper of My SUV
I've got a bright red sticker on the back of my car,
Says: "United States Marines."
An' yesterday a lady in a mini-van,
Held up her middle finger at me.
Does she think she knows what I stand for,
Or the things that I believe?
Just by looking at a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
See, my brother Chris, he's been in,
For more than 14 years now.
Our Dad was in the Navy during Vietnam,
Did his duty, then he got out.
And my Grandpa earned his Purple Heart,
On the beach of Normandy.
That's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
But that doesn't mean that I want war:
I'm not Republican or Democrat.
But I've gone all around this crazy world,
Just to try to better understand.
An' yes, I do have questions:
I get to ask them because I'm free.
That's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
'Cause I've been to Hiroshima,
An' I've been to the DMZ.
I've walked on the sand in Baghdad,
Still don't have all of the answers I need.
But I guess I wanna know where she's been,
Before she judges and gestures to me,
'Cause she don't like my sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
So I hope that lady in her mini-van,
Turns on her radio and hears this from me.
As she picks up her kids,
From their private school,
An' drives home safely on our city streets.
Or to the building where her church group meets:
Yeah, that's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.

LOL! Me too - and then I had to switch the station. The 3yo already walks around saying "Oh yeah" which is what SHE THINKS they say in REdneck Woman instead of "Hell Yeah!" I could just hear her copying THAT one! LOL!!

Awwwwwwwwwww, TLC Treatment Regimen is just what the doctor ordered.
So let me see if my brain can process this... If "normal" means "still sick" then "abnormal" means "normal". Right? hahahahaha
Ouch. My brain hurts. Gonna go watch some football for awhile. I may pop in later! Y'all have fun!

Hey Jen,
Did you lose lights last week?
My cousin says that I am a weather jinx because I was in Georgia recently. Then I came up here to record January snow.

Hi Radix. We were fortunate during the ice storm and never lost power. We lost our phone and internet service for a few hours, but that was all. And the satellite dish couldn't get a signal, so we had to watch DVDs. Oh, and we lost a couple medium-size trees. We couldn't get out of the house for 2 or 3 days, but it wasn't all that bad for us. I expected worse.
Were you in the Atlanta area? Are YOU the one who brought that freezing cold down to us??? ;-)
