Dear XXX,
America gets it even if George Bush doesn't. Thousands of families from all across the nation have called our Give Voice to Our Values phone line (866-876-4490) and left one compelling message after another about the need to put Kids First.
Listen for yourself. Hear some of the moving testimony about the importance of passing the Kids First Act of 2005 and providing health insurance to the 11 million American children now living without it:
http://www.johnkerry.com/listen
This is the first nationwide online public hearing on an issue before the Congress. The thousands of testimonials we've received from concerned Americans are an invaluable contribution to the fight for better health care in our country.
Obviously, we have a lot of tough fights ahead because, on issue after issue, the Bush administration's policies are way out of step with the American people and frankly, with American values. Why else would George W. Bush devote his State of the Union speech to trying to stampede the nation into a phony sense of crisis over Social Security.
Instead of barnstorming the country today to gin up support for privatizing Social Security, why isn't he rallying America to action on the REAL crisis of millions of children waking up every morning exposed to the risks of living without health insurance?
We've got to make it clear that we will never let the President stampede the country into undermining Social Security. And we will keep giving voice to our values until each and every child in America has health insurance.
I will be contacting you later about the special role our johnkerry.com community can play in the effort to protect Social Security. Meanwhile, there are two steps I hope you will take right now to advance our Put Kids First campaign.
First, if you have a story to share, please call our "Give Voice to Our Values" project at 866-876-4490. Then, forward this message to a friend, neighbor, or family member. We want as many people as possible to hear the compelling messages we've gathered in support of our Put Kids First initiative.
I am very excited about the energy and enthusiasm you have helped generate on behalf of this vitally important effort. Let's keep it up.
Sincerely,
John Kerry
P.S. I urge you to listen to the sampling of messages we've gathered. There is no doubt about America's commitment to helping children. We just have to keep the pressure on until the White House and the Republican Congress have no choice but to act.
As Grampa Dave said: "Christmas, 1968: Kerry with his Swift Boat Crew
in Scambodia. Kerry is wearing his CIA hat that came from Richard Nixon
a month before Nixon was sworn in as President."
In that case, don't even THINK about a New England vacation in the near future.
But it seems so personal to me; I always think of Clinton's administration as an eight year national therapy session.
When I read about Kerry sitting in his study, continually watching his "movies" of Vietnam and forcing reporters who come to interview them to watch them, it just seems so damn scary.
And now he's obsessively pounding Bush, trying to get an edge in 2008.
I'm thinking he's doing this because we all know he couldn't run on this pathetic record prior to last year, so now he's manufacturing some legislation.
I mean, most of this claptrap has been disproved and yet here he is, saying it's a crisis. Ijust can't figure out why he picked this issue (leaving aside, of course, he can't really talk about anything else without getting clobbered.....LOL)
You can just tell Kerry is sick with envy that he doesn't get to "barnstorm" around the country.
LOL
You would think Kerry would STFU for a while.
I called and left a message that they will NOT repeat. I am sure I spoke for most of FR.
Amen, brother. Your "John Kerry's Bad Rap" is in my personal .swf Hall of Fame. Absolute scream. Thank you!
"You can just tell Kerry is sick with envy that he doesn't get to "barnstorm" around the country."
I wonder if he is in Jacksonville this weekend?
A good reason to pull for the Eagles...
Thank you so much! I really apreciate that!
Hello John Kerry. This is [upchuck] from [??] calling and it's certainly nice to be able to speak directly to you. That means a lot.At the beginning of this call I was told my message may be posted on the web, made available to the media for their use and/or otherwise made available to the public. I cordially invite you to do all three with this message.
Mr Kerry, on Sunday, January 30, 2005 on Tim Russert's Meet the Press program you promised all the viewers that you would sign a Form 180 and release ALL of your military medical records. To my knowledge, you haven't done this.
Get to work John. Keep your promise to the American people.
Thank you.
You're welcome. I just watched it again and am still laughing my ass off!
Good graphic devolve!!
John Kerry and those like him are avatars and advocates of a culture of death. That's the bottom line. In order for them to realize their utopian visions, millions - no, billions - of human beings must die. Slaughter, mass murder and genocide - this is what lurks behind the handshake and the smile and the promise of 'free stuff' - all at someone elses' expense.
The sad, sorry, brutal and bloody history of the 20th century makes my case.
It's long past time that we treat the Kerrys and the Kennedys of this world - and their applauders - as the monsters that they truly are.
I'd wager a box of Davis donuts that TeRAYza will take the poodle to the pound, and in the not-too-distant future.
Springtime in Boston for Ter-Ay-za.
Winter for Kerry (he's French).
You have that right - Kerry is deceived to think that he can win the next Demo(n) nomination for President
- and other Demos are too if they think they'll have a chance against Hillary - She and Bill have it rigged for her to get the nomination. Too many cronies owe them a favor.
Look what the Demos did to Gore and Dean after they lost! They got dumped!
Condi for President!
