What's the old saying? Underneath all the pretty packaging you may not like what you find. The eyes can deceive; the heart will never lead you astray.

All too many police departments in this country are staffed by buffoons who are incapable of finding their behinds with both hands and two assistants. This case shows how inept the Orlando Police Department is. The only way that department will change is if Brooks sues the department for their clear failure to exercise due diligence in the performance of their duties and the taxpayers demand the chief of detective's head -- and get it -- and the new chief of detectives replaces the idiots he finds on staff with people who have IQs 20 points higher -- placing them at the lower end of the normal range.

It occurred to me how much different this story would've been if the guy she accused was Clintoon. It wouldn't be that much of a stretch, considering the whole country club angle, that it would've been possible for them to cross paths. Either way, how eager would the police have been to believe her then? And what would the MSMs' reaction been like? Imagine if Monica had this version of mental disorder (as opposed to the others that she has)....

So, she staged an event where she started beating up on him, and when he firmly grabbed her by both arms, and lifted her up, planted her on the kitchen table, and pointed his finger at her and said "stop this **#$##$"

I've heard of a similar event from a friend, with not exactly the same outcome, but where the husband was subjected to the most venal verbal abuse and threats and months later had these completely flipped 180 degrees to make him look like the bad guy, which if you knew him you'd understand was absurd.

Anyway, this guy finally got a new top-notch divorce lawyer, and his wife was proved to have committed perjury in sworn court filings, and witnesses to her plotting were located and subpoenas prepared.

The divorce was settled out of court, but my pal was put through hell for a year or more over the false charges. The only thing that saved him was getting the best lawyer he could afford (a young aggressive woman he called the Dragon Lady).

Non sequitur...why would your opinion of a crazy, evil person of a certain gender affect your vote for a genius of a coincident same gender?

Those do look rather like dark roots don't they? But could it be bad photos? She's Norwegian according to the article.......

I worked in Norway for many months -- there actually aren't a lot more blondes there than there are anywhere else.

As a sheriffs deputy and in my current job I've seen that kind of look on women before, and without fail, they've all been VERY nutty. One I recall smashed out her own picture window and then tried to blame the kids down the street for it. When her story didn't hold up to much scrutiny she tried to commit suicide.

P.S. I know I probably shouldn't speak in generalities, but this woman was in the mental health field. The majority of people who I recall from college and later who were involved in mental health were some of the most dysfunctional people I'd ever met. This lady is doing little to dispel that image for me.FWIW

As Ray Donovan said after he was exonerated from the false charges, WHERE DO I GO TO RESTORE MY REPUTATION?

The law enforcement people, including the Persecutor & Judge, should have to serve out the time that was imposed on the innocent victims! Maybe other law enforcement people will be more thorough and less driven by political correctness.

He said if his family did not have access to a competent, highly paid law firm, he might still be in jail or prison, because the sheriff's office accepted Faanes' allegations at face value.

Your protectionist bullshite sniping has little to do with the truth and everything to do with your own anti-capitalist prejudices. It's a simple choice - you either allow the individual to make their choices in the marketplace, or let the government make that choice for them. Wise people realise the government has a poor appreciation for individual wants and needs - we've already been through this exercise a number of times and it's been a colossal, repressive failure. You and Willie Green and Pat Buchanan and other pompous, anti-capitalist bastards smugly think you know better anyway.

How many times do you have to be wrong before you bite your tongue, I wonder? How many times does the government have to screw up before you accept it's not a good way to do things? How many times are you going take responsibility for yourself rather than blame China or India for your ills?

In any event, there won't be a reversal of present free trade policies. Grow up and deal with it. Or don't and remain pathetic.

By the way, you are particularly stupid to turn an article about the criminal justice system into a critique of the free market.

Cohabitating in the name of dating, can have severe emotional impact on the delicate emotional balance of some females. Women and men have been bamboozled into thinking you can play with fire without getting burned. I'm betting the abandonment fear would not have been an issue had they not been playing husband and wife in the name of dating, and of course his intentions of not having a permanent relationship were well known, causing additional anxiety. Bottom line, there is enough difficulty in a dating relationship without throwing away honor and virtue for selfish reasons.
