A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 2.4.05
Yahoo, White House | 02/04/05

Posted on 02/04/2005 3:09:55 PM PST by MJY1288

This morning President Bush participated in a discussion about Social Security reform at the Qwest Center Omaha Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. This afternoon he held another discussion about Social Security in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Robinson Center Auditorium. Finally late this afternoon the President attended a third town hall style meeting at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa Florida. At all three events President Bush was greeted by 10's of thousands of supporters, yet the mainstream media spends more time reporting about less than 2 dozen angry Democrats infected with the desease Liberalsim, than they spend on the Presidents message. We wont make that mistake here :-)

For myself, the horrific piece on the President's inspired Inaugural address has caused me to lose trust in anything she says, perhaps permanently.

Yup. And she's only dug herself in deeper since then.

Okay, got this from Wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alberto_Gonzales

"He was often regarded as moderate compared to Ashcroft – unlike many in the Bush administration, Gonzales did not oppose abortion or affirmative action."

I can't fault him for not opposing affirmative action.

It has been claimed by some that he is pro-choice because of one decision regarding parental notification in Texas, where he made the decision to uphold the law as it stood.

It is my understanding that he is pro-life, but did not feel he could legislate from the bench.

Howlin has more specifics about it, so maybe she can give us a link??

She's darling. Oh how I'd love to have a grandbaby to hug. So far I only have granddogs and grandcats.

Gretchen I agree with you about Peggy I think it is sour grapes.

She took unpaid leave to work on the campaign was praising GWB as high as she could I think also she was hoping to be taken on as part of the speech team.

I think she was still hoping for some offer after the inauguration speech because on FOX immediately afterwards she was full of praise then a few hours later she pulled it apart with the "to much God comments". Something must have been said to her about that time maybe something was leaked to her between these 2 comments that no offer was going to be made.

IMHO she is now discontented and feels scorned.

I seem to remember hearing/reading something that he was pro-choice as well.

Exactly, Tom. The Rats are digging themselves deeper and deeper by being nothing but obstructionists.

And in the mean time the President has marvelous ideas to solve very real problems, and the popularity and means to implement them.

The Rats are sunk. It's over. Kate Smith is singing. ;o)

I am fine thanks for asking glad you are finding this winter better I did not realise it was only your second in Wyoming. I understood from your posts that you had lived elsewhere in but assumed you had been in Wyoming longer.

God bless you and I trust you continue to cope with the winter well.

I don't think he is pro-choice, snugs. That's view has been based on one decision he made in Texas.

Howlin are you around?

(Or do I have to do my OWN research?? Sheesh!! :)

Somebody had to have gotten to her in the very brief interval between the ending of the Inaugural and the writing of her column, although she was definitely uncomfortable being asked by Brit to be the first one to comment on W's Inaugural immediately after it was ended. I got the strong impression she wanted someone else to go first (to me this indicates an inexplicable weakness for someone wearing her shoes).

How can someone who is committed to a set of core principles betray them in a few hours? Especially after years of touting those principles as the reason to earn her bread and butter.

Something went on behind the curtain and we are not seeing the whole ugly process of her principles being shelved, or traded, or sold.

Yup. And she's only dug herself in deeper since then.

It seems strange for her to alienate her most loyal readers. Does she think that she'll make friends among the Bush haters by the things she's written lately?? I don't THINK so.

Instead she's turned away a whole lot of people who had previously respected (though not always agreed with) her opinions.

Dumb, I think.

The indefatigable President Bush with his frequent trips to the heartland is educating the people. He is very good at explaining our problems and this is bound to make a difference.

Paging anyone who can document the decision Gonzales made in Texas that has been misconstrued as proving he is pro-choice.

Still looking for it myself.....

I watched him talking to the folks down in Tampa yesterday, and you are so right.

He makes complex problems understandable to ordinary citizens, but then fields questions from experts and answers with his own expertise.

And that ENERGY! I know he exercizes, prays, lives cleanly, and is adored by his wife (and family), but YIKES......that still doesn't explain how indefatigable he really is. It floors me.
