A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 2.4.05
Yahoo, White House | 02/04/05

Posted on 02/04/2005 3:09:55 PM PST by MJY1288

This morning President Bush participated in a discussion about Social Security reform at the Qwest Center Omaha Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. This afternoon he held another discussion about Social Security in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Robinson Center Auditorium. Finally late this afternoon the President attended a third town hall style meeting at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa Florida. At all three events President Bush was greeted by 10's of thousands of supporters, yet the mainstream media spends more time reporting about less than 2 dozen angry Democrats infected with the desease Liberalsim, than they spend on the Presidents message. We wont make that mistake here :-)

Oh I heard about it. I also heard the next morning, Mrs. Norwood completely shot that down on GMA. If Chrissy is still throwing a hissy, he needs to take a pill.

Condi Rice from the UK Times

Okay everyone, check out this article just posted about Condoleeza Rice from the UK Times. Very interesting background.

Note that they talked about her exceptional 'luck.' I think many of us have been talking about how we believe it's much more than luck.

Go Dr. Condi!

The problem here is that so many people believe what they see on TV and when a current affairs/news type programme reports it they believe it even more.

IMHO this is also applicable to lifestyles and why I think programmes such as Sex in the City, desperate housewives and even common all garden soaps are insidious seeping into our unconscious minds and we mimic what we see. Rather than soaps reflecting our lives our lives reflect what is show on TV.

Pancake day I think is what you are referring to fat Tuesday the beginning of lent, we traditionally have pancakes for tea or desert on that day.

The idea goes back to when fasted for lent and they used up the fatty ingredients the day before or so I am told is this the same thing? Sleep well.

Radio, saw a car in Fla with license plate "radiohead"! I was going to follow and say Hi Fellow Freeper......then the car pulled into a lot and 2 young fellows got out with serious looking skate boards.....after that, somehow, I no longer thought it might be you! LOL.

AWESOME photos of our AWESOME president!

You can watch a video of the President's Montana townhall meeting at http://www.krtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2897197&nav=LXowVwVP [NOTE: The President was AMAZING!]

MUST READS:

CHUCK COLSON
"The road to freedom"

State of the Union addresses are often thought of as little more than laundry lists of policies. But no one could honestly say that about President Bush’s State of the Union on Wednesday. The talking heads are going to be debating one policy or another. I’d like to draw back, however, and take a look at the big picture, the theme that emerged from the speech, one that has been the cornerstone of his presidency: human dignity and human freedom.

President Bush sounded these notes in the very first minutes of his speech, when he spoke of the countries that have recently held free elections, many of them for the first time in modern history. He sounded it again in the speech’s closing moments, when he talked about “the road of Providence” that “leads to freedom.” In between, he spoke on a wide variety of subjects. But that same theme was underlying all of them. Every issue the president mentioned was directly related to human freedom and human dignity.

I cannot imagine having to deliver that news. I believe I would have a complete breakdown every time I had to.

That lady is a professor at a community college, also attending college to get her doctorate. He was introducing her and asked if she wanted to be called, "Mary" or "professor". It was cute. Very respectful (but then what would you expect????)

Oh, she said "Mary" would be fine.

I was talking to Dolly a few minutes ago and she asked about Fat Tuesday I am assuming this is the same as our Pancake Day. Where we traditionally eat pancakes, toss pancakes, have pancake races etc. What is your Fat Tuesday both I presume are the signal that lent is beginning.

You may be right, but the sense I got in the hearings was that this guy is the Artful Dodger personified.

^^^^

I get the same vibe. And can you just imagine what his Texas accent did to the blood pressure of the snooty dems on the Judiciary committee, as he artfully dodged their traps.

Emily, the military we talked to could get through it, because they were so proud of their comrades.
The focus should be on the heroism of these men and women, and not the tragedy of their deaths.
We can look at either side, but I prefer to look at what they accomplished as the most important part of their lives.

...because many in the media thought they had a 'gotcha,'

One of the laws of politics is that the 'rats project their own thoughts and behavior onto Republicans. They accuse us of doing stuff that we would not even dream of doing, --but they would!!!!

I watched part of that video. The man knows how to work a crowd, he had them in the palm of his hand. If that Senator doesn't vote W's way, I think the whole state will be after him. My sound was not very good on the video, but I could understand W.

He amazes me. Two days ago he gave the SOTU speech, which he delivered simply but with aplomb and finesse to the entire world. Today he goes out in the heartland among HIS people and sounds as country as a sack of okra. And both of those seemed as genuine as you can possibly be. How does he do it?

Hi everybody!!!

I have a question and I wonder if anyone here would know the answer...

I wonder were W is going to be speaking, and if a humble peasant like myself might be able to attend and cheer him on in his quest to change our wretched social security system?
