George Soros' JetBlue may end up as one of the airlines left standing when the dust settles. Then conspiracy theorists can speculate about whether Soros has a deal with the airline unions to make sure USAir and Delta died.
Or perhaps Soros is just smart enough to know that the unions would do nothing to protect their members' jobs. No conspiracy is necessary. You just have to understand that American union bosses care nothing about putting tens of thousands of their union members out of work. Heck, if two big airlines go out of business, the media lefties can talk about it and blame it on Bush and act like this is part of some bad Bush economy. Most union bosses probably care more about the Democrat party doing well than about their own members keeping jobs.
