I like Joe Lieberman, and I agree with him on many issues.

You must have missed his performance on the floor of the Senate the day he "denounced" clintbilly over the Monica matter.

He lost all credibility that day for me, and only exacerbated matters as he ran for VP.

He has no core values, he's simply a good actor.

I like the man, Joe Lieberman, and was glad to see President Bush show him fondness. Most people who follow politics realize that politicians can go for each other's jugular in front of the cameras, then go out to lunch together after the taping. I think these two men genuinely like and respect each other.

Or it might have been that great Texan sense of humor...(deliberately trying to rile up the Democraps.)

Well, he's been "acting" very supportive of President Bush lately, with the war, with Dr. Rice, etc. And since I don't believe President Bush is a dumbass dupe, I know his kissed him to show sincere appreciation.

Ok. He did not slip him a little tongue. But I bet he would have, had it been Teddy Kennedy. Sheesh!

"Joe's that rare, rare Dem who doesn't hate his country."

I appreciate the fact that he's been an advocate for the WOT, but can't forgive his role in establishing a dangerous precedent from the 2000 "recount". I just don't trust him.

IMHO the biggest reason Landrieu was re-elected was due to her support of the president during her first term.

LOL, you wish! It wasn't anything like it. It was just a friendly little kiss. GW is a very affectionate guy, and I have no problem with that.

The reason Bush can and did kiss Lieberman is because Bush is comfortable in his own skin---he doesn't try to be anyone else. Only a real MAN can do what he does---so nobody EVEN suggest otherwise---

I saw Lieberman on the Senate floor today talking about Gonzalez and he did a great job---I was also pleasantly surprised about Landrieu, but remember she went to Iraq and the Tsunami area with Bill Frist, so maybe she is beginning to realize how llllleeeeeft the left have become.

That said, it takes a real man, sure of his heterosexuality, to kiss another man. I sort of admire it.

Absolutely. My Italian grandfather, the most decent and kind man I have ever known, was as comfortable with hugging another man as he was with his revolver as a Detroit police detective. One thing I've learned about the Bush family, since the current President took office, is how emotional and affectionate they are. Since Lieberman has been pretty solid on some of the toughest issues Bush has faced it all seemed kind of natural to me.

I think Lieberman is my favorite Democrat. He actually seems to get it on most issues. I loved when he denounced his fellow Democrats over opposing Rice.

Joe is one of the few from that side of the isle that I think could do a reasonably good job as President.

It would be nice to see him take over the party. One of the things I am afraid of is the Republicans having no strong opposition. Even though I support Republicans, we all know what happens in one party rule.

Lucky the Democrats hate guns - with all the good news for the Republicans that's been raining down on them lately there'd be a lot of ventilated craniums otherwise.

I think this "kiss" was one of 2 things- either President Bush was saying thank you to Senator Lieberman for standing with him on certain issues, or it was the display of affection between 2 men of deep, albeit different faith in A God of their understanding.

Not only has Joe Lieberman voted for Condi and Gonzales, he has been all over television supporting the president on Iraq, bravely telling anchors when he disagrees with Ted Kennedy and Barbara Boxer.

turns out, Joe Lieberman is an honorable man.
