Anyone who thinks that man is homosexual is missing some basic powers of perception, I'd say...... :o)

Doubt they really do believe it; I figure even they aren't that stupid. More like a wish on their part, so they could point fingers at him and scream at his strongly religious supporters, "See, see, he's not really spiritual, he's just a fake." And it would make them feel superior if they could bring him down to their level. Because they hate him for what he is and what he has accomplished.

Don't want to clutter this thread up with TOO many photos, but this one is from today at a Prayer Breakfast.

It's kind of a circular hate, tx. They hate him because he's a good man, so they try to make up stupid stuff to make good people (who KNOW he's a good man, and respect him for it) hate him and think he's not a good man, and when it doesn't work, they hate him even more. And that in turn makes the good people like him even more in sympathy, which makes the DU'ers hate him worse.
They must be really sad people......

Oh, and IIRC that trash book by Kitty Kelly tried to make the case that he is a closet homosexual. I am sure that many on the Left have read that piece of filth, and they wish, oh how they wish, that what she wrote would prove out, for the reasons I stated. The Liebermen thing, wherein they try to make that a homosexual issue, is just some kind of straw for these drowning people to grab, I think, but it is also a follow-on to the Kelly book.

Very NIIIIICE, ohio...I watched that this morning. Fine speech by the Prez, but Hillary and JFKerry were right in the camera lens. Yeeech!

there are some people you'd just love to have a beer with. I have a hunch, politics aside, Joe is one of those. He'd be a hoot!

The juicy irony is that they should like him MORE if he's gay. Using that as a trumped up charge to discredit him when it's supposed to be a 'good' thing in their book is pretty funny.
They're completely desperate, and your analogy is right. They are drowning people grabbing at straws to save themselves............only it won't work.

Thank you for the "Osama Momma" Murray I.D. alert. Does not Murray look like she is in line for the next kiss? I wonder which one of the two she is in line for? Both? Good thing there were no dogs in the hall.

turns out, Joe Lieberman is an honorable man.
Pretty much agree.
The problem some have with him is they expect/demand prefection out of a politician.
Joe's a throw back to the time when adults were in charge of the Democrat party, I'm talking pre 68.

I have posted this theory in another thread. I am thinking that there is a coalition of DemonRATS who, if they had their way would withdraw our support from Israel. Could it be that Uncle Teddy and Kerry both have a secret hatred of Jews because of religious thinking that has its roots in their Roman Catholic upbringing. They must see our efforts against Islamo-Facism as benefiting Israel and it is my theory that what is really driving their irrational opposition to our efforts to promote democracy is that Uncle Teddy and Kerry oppose anything that benefits Israel. I wonder if this is the underlying motivation and I wonder how many in the DemoncRATic Party harbor a secret hatred of Israel? John Lieberman, a Jew, is in favor of our efforts in Iraq and the Middle East. This is because of his affinity with the Jewish people.
I wonder if the DemonRATS have been taken over by a coalition of Jew haters whose true motives have been under cover just as there exists much anti-semitism lurching under the surface in our country. It is this anti-semitism that is irrational and it attacks those Christians who hold their Jewish bretheran with warm affection. It is true that Christians like President Bush feel there is a bond of faith with those who practice the Jewish faith. Christians and Jews share the same God. Jesus Christ, as a Jew, prayed to the same Father.
That President Bush has warm affection to Joe Lieberman is no a small matter. Senator Joe Lieberman understands correctly the mission before us in the Middle East. I do not know if Joe has been taking serious pressure from his own party. The President knows that there are Democrats (as opposed to DemonRATs) who are on board and he knows they do so at great sacrifice.

interesting thoughts, jonrick. I admit not having thought about that at all. It's quite possible.
What I have thought about, long and hard, and am constantly perplexed by is that there are so many Jews who are democrats; but it is truly the Republicans, as a whole, who are supportive of Israel and the Jews (this because, again, as you pointed out, [born again/Evangelical] Christians are more likely to have an affinity with the Republican party because it is, and has always been, concerned with the protection of Israel; and I think that is because of the Judeo-Christian heritage of our nation and their faith).

"and I think that is because of the Judeo-Christian heritage of our nation and their faith)."
That, and we are all scared ****less of God's wrath if we DON'T protect Israel!! :)
