President Bush will deliver his annual State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress tonight at 6 PM Pacific time. A live webcast is available here. According to CNN, quoting a top aide, "President Bush will present 'a strategy for success' in Iraq and outline details of his Social Security proposal."
Judge Michael Chertoff testified during his nomination to become Homeland Security Secretary before the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
President Bush plans a late February trip to Europe to seek additional assistance from the European Union and NATO in Iraq, and to meet with leaders, including German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.
There will be lots of photos tonight during and after the president's speech.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island!

I want to thank you both so much for the Sgt Smith links. His story made me cry and at the same time filled my heart with pride that we have this caliber of young man serving our country. God Bless them all.

I was doing the same but unfortunately as I cannot get Cspan on the TV I have to watch it on the net which is rather small because to watch in full screen is too blurred.

Our President was amazing tonight. God bless him, he said it all tonight. The emotional embrace by the Iraqi woman and the Marine Sgt's mother just did me in.
God bless and protect our wonderful troops.
To: snugs
Hi snugs! I'm still sniffing...
Of course, I didn't bother to stay for the rebuttal (just not worth it).
