President Bush will deliver his annual State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress tonight at 6 PM Pacific time. A live webcast is available here. According to CNN, quoting a top aide, "President Bush will present 'a strategy for success' in Iraq and outline details of his Social Security proposal."
Judge Michael Chertoff testified during his nomination to become Homeland Security Secretary before the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
President Bush plans a late February trip to Europe to seek additional assistance from the European Union and NATO in Iraq, and to meet with leaders, including German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.
There will be lots of photos tonight during and after the president's speech.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island!
Disappearing for about 20 mins see you later
Reagan set the fall of the Soviet Union in motion. George H. W. saw the actual collapse of the USSR, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and Desert Storm happen on his watch. As for George W., he's already the stuff of true legend. In the middle of all that, it's Clinton who?
BTW, regarding this phony UN tsunami relief gig, just shows how treacherous Clinton is. President Bush named his two immediate successors, GHWB and Clinton, to head up tsunami relief efforts for the United States. So Clinton parlays that into a UN gig. Sickening.
Snugs, I'm not staying long, either. Have to take one of my dogs to the vet at 5:00pm local time, and the SOTU comes on at 6:00pm. So I won't be back until later tonight, if at all.
Hey, HeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRs JONNY!
I'm still shocked at the respect he get abroad. I'm hoping Shrillery runs for pres just so the new media can't rehash all the criminal activities the two of them participated in during his terms. Both of them have never really had to answer questions, but they will if she runs and I can't imagine a happier moment for me then watching her squirm.
How would you like to face THAT as president every day!!!!
:)
Did you see the rodent himself, LOL! We're doing fine thanks, I'll tell hubby hi. He's down hobknobbing at the convention probably hanging out in the bar area checking out who has shown up. He was to call 30 minutes ago so I guess he's having a good time. :^)
Yikes, it's a good thing I've already eaten!
Umm...er........NO! Go away whoever you are and send back our Jonny.
Tell Laura we love her

Whatever the policies are, no matter the succession rules, the Clinton's are cunning, manipulative and calculating enough to attempt the orchestration of he at the UN and she in 2008 at the White House. NEVER NEVER underestimate their hunger for power and control, nor the chameleon especially she will become in the months and years to come. That quinella would mean ultimate global power.. their fervent desire. Not saying it will happen, mind you, only that evil occupies their gizzards, and their actions and statements in the coming months will very interesting to observe. But, I frankly don't expect him to live all that much longer.
The SOTU will be grand ... and SO moving to see the pageantry, but especially fun, watching the sourpusses strain .... both to casually clap when they think their constituents would expect them to clap ... and not to clap or look sullen, when they need to show just how strongly they oppose the President. Bets on Sen. Sheets, the Swimmer or Lautenberg dozing off first?? I think my horse is a verbose, gray antique with a superior attitude and a southern drawl.
Get 'em, W!!
Shucks, now I'm blushing :)

I thought exactly that when I read about Clinton and the UN on the net this afternoon. The left have no class whatsoever.
The company he mixes with BONO last week the UN this IMHO sums the man up.
Hope the dog is not too poorly.
Pleeeeese, not here.
***Shucks, now I'm blushing :)***
LOL!
Good Evening..... I hope Dubya knocks another one out of the park
What amazing men and women we have defending our freedom and safety abroad.
THANK you for letting us in on this very special soldier, and his very special honor.
I'm praying fervently for the President as he, himself, I'm sure is in prayer before his speech. May God be glorified by what he says tonight!
