For now. One more underpinning of society just came undone.

When my kids were just little, I would not allow them to have a computer in our home. They learned in school and they all did well with it.

If my kids were still small, I would not have a TV anywhere in our home. It's like a running sewer, and it now ACTUALLY targets children. Forget about guns as a threat, the brainwashing TV programs are far more dangerous, IMHO.

Yes, what a shame that the cable company is targeting porn to the kids. If only there were some mechanism in place to keep kids from watching TV programs that were harmful to their development... Hmmm....

Ignore Lunatic fringe - always plays the social liberal on this board. He's better off at the DU, but likes to post on here to waste our time.

I agree the programs on tv are out of control. Parent involvement is not enough unless you are going to sit through everything that they watch. Sometimes the commercials are worse than the shows themselves. Unlike Lunatic (who in life is a real lunatic) I believe that there should be community standards to all broadcasts and that there is a potential lawsuit for companies who broadcast such crap. Lawyers always go after the deep pockets.

Lunatic dont bother posting your an idiot and any liberal thought you may have isnt worth my time.

He sounds like a Nazi, too.

Who would set such "standards"? If you don't like porn... don't turn on the porn channel.

Both lovers of porn, do you watch it together or do you just fight his battles for him.

No, we don't watch porn together. I was just a little suprised at what a dick you were being, so I thought I'd mention it.

Sports, News and Educational channels, period. I couldn't tell you what is on CBS, NBC or ABC. Haven't watched them in years. Neither have my sons.

You hit the nail big time.

And children's program are really targeted at poisoning the minds and spirits of our children through multiculturalism, diversity and other trashy "togetherness" brainwashing.

"I believe that there should be community standards..."

The problems facing our country are much more deeper and cannot be solved by standards. The big issue is really the changing demographics that has been taking place over the last 30 years or so in this country. When people can gather the courage to admit this, then and only then can we turn around the trends. People make a country and the worth of a country is the worth of its people. Nothing will ever change it for the better until you change the makeup of the country.
