I used to believe escalators would eat me when I was a child. My mom would have to carry me on clinging to her like a monkey.
You're supposed to jump off onto the floor when your step gets within two of the end. They should put signs up to that effect.
So no one needs to click on the link - the settlement was for $15 million total, which avoided a jury verdict on punitives and a lengthy appeal.
I would like to sell ONE of my fingers for $3 million.........
Sounds excessive to me, for three measly fingers.
Without 'three measly' fingers you may as well not have the hand.
Still excessive.
I had that particular nightmare when I was little. I knew that the escalator could suck me into the mechanism if I did not make a long jump at the top or bottom. Now I know that it is true but escalators are not so powerful as they once were. This one only got some fingers.
How much would you sell you daughter's three fingers for?
Guess she didn't see that big red emergency stop button that is on the end of escalators.
Now that they have paid I bet they no longer ignore complaints about defective equipment.
Would you sell your daughter's three fingers for 9.5 million?
LOL!
Who's been damaged more?
