Islam paints no pretty pictures anywhere. I saw a documentary I think was made in Ethiopia, where a filthy old imam sat on the dirt floor of a 'schoolroom' teaching little girls about seven to nine years of age, the koran by rote in arabic. The poor little girls were bored out of their minds, they were looking longingly out of the one and only window - one had her schoolbag on her shoulders, she seemed ready to leave at the drop of a hat. The sight made me want to weep. Islam does terrible things to children.

I hear ya Fred, even though the image of a "filthy old imam sat on the dirt floor of a 'schoolroom' teaching little girls about seven to nine years of age" did set off alarm bells in my head.

It's what they do tho'... brainwash a new generation to recite the filthy book of intolerance without any critical analysis. Once you hear "Maktub" (it is written!) all further discussion normally ends.

'Murdering is Genetically Ingrained in American Culture'

I knew that. After all, we're not Turks!

It is hard to know where to begin in response to such irresponsible nonsense. Being called violent by the Turks is like being called violent by Ted Bundy. I know there are over a million Armenians and Bulgarians who would spit in the authors face if they could. The Turks slaughtered over a million Armenians between 1915-1919 just because they were Christians who resisted being second class citizens under Muslim rule. In 1876 the Turks slaughtered 30,000 Bulgarian men women and children, after a revolt, in what became known as the Bulgarian Atrocities. There is the suppression of Greek Christians and the restrictions on their practicing their religion and language. The Turks were notorious for their brutality and if you listen to the minority groups, like the Kurds, they haven't really changed much. Then there are of course the numerous lies in the article about American conduct in Iraq. Can you imagine the uproar if we actually did even a few of the things he accuses us of? There are unfortunately, so many things written by Muslims, that I have read that have me muttering about bullshit and morons after a few lines.

Why 'alarm bells'? He was filthy. And he was old. Filthy old men should not be 'teaching' young girls. It was quite evident from what I saw, this imam had absolute power over those girls. The expression on their faces was boredom, fear and disgust.
The potential for more than emotional abuse did not escape me. Is that what you meant?

Soon they will also forget the destruction of the mosques, and the murder of unarmed wounded civilians who sought refuge in those mosques

Do they mean the ones we have video of firing from the minarets? Those "civilians"? Hmmm?

Yup, thats just it Fred... it reminded me of another filthy old man called Muhammed (Pork be Upon Him)and what he did to a little girl called Ayesha when she was only 9 years old.

Muhammed, the "perfect man"... the genocidal maniac and rapist who is the example for his followers to emulate.

That's what set the alarm bells ringing.

If we are "genetically" inclined toward murder, then perhaps pissing us off is a really bad idea.

How do we explain, then, most of the recent violence has been Muslim against Muslim (or Arab against Arab)?

I believe that the Islamofascists justify terrorist acts against other Muslims when the Muslims work with or assist the 'infidel' in any way.  This, in their view, renders them 'unclean' and a valid terror target.

This is why many bombings and attacks have been against Iraqi police stations and Iraqi security personnel....they are viewed as 'traitors to Islam'.

You know, there are times where I think, "Hey, since they think we're so bad already, let's show them just how bad we can make things for them... They call us "murderers?" Let's make the Dresden Firebombing look like a the glow of a match!"

But then I remember, we're civilized, and we don't do things like that... But they say we do, since if they had a chance, they'd be doing those things to us.

You're right of course.  It's not easy being a morally and ethically-superior culture, but we are and unfortunately there is a lot of BS, mayhem and murder that we have to take as a result of being the better people.

I wish that I knew of a less trite way of expressing it, but the world is not fair and never has been.  The better people have always been the ones who have had to suffer the most at the hands of barbarians...it goes with the territory I suppose.

This is one of those quandaries that's irreconcilable in terms of earth-bound logic.  I guess that the main thing that makes us better people is our love for humanity, our love of God and our faith that our goodness will be recognized, if not in this life then in the next.

Basic logic such as what you have just expressed always seems to elude profoundly, breathtakingly stupid and barbaric people.  They seem to be up against a steep learning curve of their own making.  It should be obvious to everyone on the planet by now that the United States and the other free nations are the nicest, most gracious and most benevolent folks that one would care to meet, but they just insist on pushing us....even nice people don't like to be pushed, and if it takes the deaths of a billion Islamists to drive that point home to them, the I say bring it on and don't make any plans in your engagement calendar for next week.

I would suggest that this might be a good place to start:

...  the subtle stuff just doesn't seem to work with the Islamofascists.

This argument is so aimless that no matter what is done with it, the author still loses.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the "great traditions of Islamic learning" that we have been told about so often.  Whatever Islamofascist university gave him his PHD is probably quite pleased with him, however.

Disgusting to read, but needed info, lest we forget.

Spot On, as our British friends say.

Thank goodness for MEMRI, without whom we would never hear about this stuff.

This from a culture that beheads people?

And a culture that feeds children through plastic shredders while their parents are forced to watch, gases thousands of defenseless civilians, blinds people with blowtorches, cuts out tongues with pliers and rusty knives, throws people off of mountains, forces girls to die in a fire because they are not attired appropriately for escape, pours battery acid into open wounds.....

Sorry, it disgusts me too much to continue the list, which is far longer.

Yes, THAT culture.

Great pictures! The Turks never talk about their own bloody past, since self criticism is not a Muslim trait. I believe that you are speaking a language they can hear.
