SEN. KERRY: I lost, Tim, to an incumbent president by a closer margin than an incumbent president has ever won re-election before in the history of the country, and if you add up the popular vote in the battleground states, I won the popular vote in the battleground states by two percentage points. We just didn't distribute it correctly in Ohio.

He's a liar, and a stupid one at that. Perhaps Kerry is just delusional... Now how can you say that about my ole buddy pal johnny Boy. The man that voted for it before he voted against it... and has a seared memory to boot?

I don't think I'd go around bragging about being the biggest loser in United states history. LOL
To: mainepatsfan
I'm sure he'll blame this mistake on a member of his staff his manservantI saw a transcript on here that detailed Kerry's berating of Marvin the manservant over a missing brush on the campaign bus. Had the voting public seen or heard it, Kerry would have been lucky to get 8%..

I really don't understand this obsession. We're talking about a 3 million or so margin nationwide, and over a hundred thousand votes in the decisive state (OH). It's not a few hundred votes here or there, with credible allegations of fraud or incompetence to go with them. That would make a difference, and would be more understandable if they made such a fuss over. But Bush has been inaugurated, the bands have gone home, Congress is in session, the army is in its barracks, no one is going to jail or being shot over the election. Why can't Kerry and the 'Rats just get on with their lives?

We just didn't distribute it correctly in Ohio.If candidates were allowed to redistribute votes, any of a dozen different third-parties (Such as the World Workers Party) could have won 49 states by distributing their several thousand votes across the 49 states while piling all other votes into one state. I am reasonably sure that we will never have an election system where the candidates are allowed to re-distribute votes....Sorry Kerry, it ain't gonna happen...

Isn't there some kind of statute of limitations on being a sore loser?Keep an eye on Al Gore, when he goes away we'll know what the time limit is.

Wasn't that a story in Newsweek that they held off reporting until AFTER the election?

Another good baseball analogy would be a team that gets more hits in a game than their opponent. Or time of possession in football (the most meaningless statistic in professional sports).

I pulled the lever for Kerry/Edwards and then lifted it again before voting, FIRMLY, for Bush-Cheney. I did this just so I could say I actually did vote for Kerry before I voted against him! :)
