You mean the fake picture was shot with a camera like that?

Where do you find image properties in Windows XP?

Where do you find image properties in Windows XP?

Saved the image to my desktop, then you can right click the image and click "Properties". That information in the screen grab is in the advanced properties dialog. The picture itself is not fake, the only thing fake is the toy soldier and toy gun and amateurish looking Arabic language banner that has two misspellings in it.

Not all images will have that information, but this was one of those rare instances.

I don't question anything in that info except the date, since it could have been intentionally set wrong or even neglected from the last time the batteries were changed.

Here's a program that you can install that will allow you to view extended image properties (EXIF data) direct to an image on a web page. No need to download the picture first.

Also note the interface at the corner of the wall and floor. The gap there is huge and the Spackle/plaster wave gives a clue of the scale.

Also the Arabic calligraphy is rather precise, as if handwritten. If it had been painted with a large brush, it would waver as the painter's hand would not be steadied (it doesn't appear to have crisp edges like it would if it was taped or stenciled.)

The circle in the middle probably was made with a circular stencil or template. An enterprising Pagamadeen might want to use the scale of the doll to calculate the size of the circle template, to verify that it is a standard size. The uneven paint saturation of the circle is due to a brush being dragged over a template, but not dabbed heavily (they didn't want to make it too obvious.)

The material is of fine weave (that is rather unusual too, since mostly they will use an old blanket or sheet, which would give clues to the true scale), possibly black silk or polyester. It doesn't hang like it has much weight. It almost looks like it is loosely stretched over cardboard. The paint along the right edge looks like the painter got some white paint smudged from his fingers there. A cleaver FBI agent might even get a partial print if they blow up the photo and run it through the computer.
