You know Chrissie - the former governor of the state of New Jersey who rewarded Bush for his selection of her as Environmental Commissioner by making herself look like a total fool - not a very hard job considering her track record as governor.
Yes, the same little elitist liberal cutie pie who screwed up New Jersey while governor has now written a book detailing her RINO political philosophy.
Ironic it comes out so soon after Bush's justification of his policies in Iraq.
Let's hope the world has seen the last of Chrissie's political aspirations - but I doubt it - this book proves that she wants to rise from the grave and once more become considered serious political material.
I doubt if even the people in New Jersey are that stupid. But one never knows, does one?

There is something wrong with the Republican party. Very few Republicans are actually trying to make government smaller. Just look at Republican support for prescription drugs or increased spending in many agencies. Government spending has not been cut.
Its more serious than that. If you look at their website you will see what their agenda is and how they intend to push it.
I agree.....if you notice, W is to the center on alot of issues. The only one I'm upset about is immigration.
I think the GOP could do just fine without Whitmans. If you want to sell baby killing and environmental hysteria, there's already a party that's selling that.
Hm. No. In this sort of language, I'd have to say most of the controversy is between the far-right social conservatives and the far-right libertarians. Moderates are people who don't much believe anything.
Well, don't look to Chrissie or her consorts for any aid.
Chrissie cut taxes in New Jersey 3 years in a row WHILE MAKING NO CUTS IN STATE SPENDING. Thus she contributed to a major fiscal crisis in that state.
Like most limousine liberals, Chrissie wants government programs - she just believes in not paying for them.
Good points. But I'm still interested in reading this book just to hear what else she has to say. Even though I don't agree with here positions on certain issues, I understand her perception of certain over zealous factions within the party that are always extorting the party instead of contributing to it.
Whitman is not a Centrist.
Bush is a centrist.
Whitman is a Rocekefeller Republican - a certifiable RINO on gun control, abortion, illegal immigration, social services programs - you name it.
In Whitman's world, you're a zealous, social fundamentalist if
you believe our nation's birth certificate, "We hold these truths
to be self evident - that all men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that
among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Whitman is a disgrace. The Rockefeller Republicans were a disgrace.
As long as I live I shall never forget nor forgive, Nelson Rockefeller, Keating and Jacob Javits for slithering out of the Republican Convention in 1964 when Barry Goldwater was nominated, making a grand show of disdain and lack of support for a great man, a great Republican, and the kind of guy who would never have gotten us mired down in a no-win war in Viet Nam.
Rockefeller Republicans are truly worse than Democrats. They are liberals who feel they are "entitled". And Whitman is one of them. Tom Kean is another.
