Hey snapperjk either get a clue about this thread or go bug some other people about issues that are of no consequence. An innocent human life is as stake here. Kerry, Dean, etc. suck and so do a lot of Democraps and Republicans, etc. it is and isn't a political matter, have you heard of human rights, the fight against terrorism, etc., justice, the rights guaranteed each and every one of us as to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness??
There is no such thing as a stupid question... ..expect that one. Go drink another case of Red Bull.
From Gibbs Law firm for Terri's parents (Gibbs Brief is a good read and it contends that jurisdiction is void and that Terri's improvement should therefore end).
Other interesting point The Four corners of 1.540 (b)(4) re: Motion for Relief from a Void (they don't want Terri to get due process in other words and because she never got due process, EVERYTHING TO THIS DAY IS VOID. That is in U.S. case law and in Florida law.
How is GREER going to wriggle his way out of this one when he's the one who jurisdictionally violated Terri's rights and much more????
I give misrepresenters one post from me. We are done.
improvement or imprisonment?
(Gibbs Brief is a good read and it contends that jurisdiction is void and that Terri's "imprisonment" should therefore end).
Every citizen is entitled to be represented by counsel but Terri never was or has been. Judge Greer made a big mistake because he wasn't an expert in guardianship law when he took the job. He figured that he would catch on. He's never caught on. Why should a dim bulb whose jurisdiction is void not be forced off of Terri's guardianship case by the Chief Judge or some higher authority? Terri denied due process in their zeal to bump her off.
As he's always done in the past, Judge George Greer will dismiss the motions. He won't agree to voiding his order to starve and dehydrate Terri to death.
I think that's why Felos is bellowing out the Feb. 22nd date. He wants to get this over and done with ASAP. Who cares about due process? It's not his life on the line, but his livelihood!
I corrected above. She should be released from imprisonment due to habeas corpus.
Hopefully, higher courts will disagree if he decides to do that. Gibbs made some good points. It should at least make it to the evidentiary phase, if Greer is smart.
Scoop1, I know you said that Greer lacked jurisdiction but will Greer ever admit it or do Floridians need to demand his IMPEACHMENT? I say we may have to demand his impeachment on the grounds shown in the Gibbs Law Firm brief. Terri was denied due process and this is about her life and liberty. Greer should be IMPEACHED. We'll have to wait and see what his ruling is. (he owes Terri millions of dollars. can judges be sued?)
Does the bill that Campbell sponsored also protect Fla AG Crist? He's done nothing to protect Terri. The Fla AG Civil Rights Office is in Ft. Lauderdale. I wonder if they hang up on callers asking them to investigate how Terri was defrauded of her rehabilitation monies to the tune of over $600,000. That would have gotten Terri a good start on therapy - maybe that feeding tube would be gone by now and she'd be eating with a spoon.
Right. Not to say Greer will actually pay any attention to any of the evidence, but he'll claim that since it was presented in his court room his pre-ordained decision is valid.
OTOH, I would think that in a guardianship hearing there may be some factual matters which Greer cannot ignore. The paternity of Michael's children should be a matter of record, and unless Michael comes up with some rebuttal for the taped interviews he's given I think an appellate court might question Greer's judgement if Greer deemed them insignificant.

Thanks for the article.

I just scanned through it and learned some things I didn't know before. I was wondering how her husband was able to get her placed in a hospice in the first place, since she is not terminally ill.
Have you made a separate thread? I think this article deserves it's own thread. That way the info gets exposure to Freepers that don't normally read Terri's daily.
The two children are not legitmized so Michael is not only harming Terri in the worst way, but additionally, he is not providing a last name and the protections therein for the two children. That's a violation in the State of Florida but Greer isn't well versed in Florida law.
We're on the same bandwidth tonight. I'm so glad to see this article.
