*Michael, HAVE A HEART !!!!!For Valentines Day give Terri back to her MOM & DAD, The Schindlers!!!!!!!!*
The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.
Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views. January 2005 Daily Thread was a RECORD HIGH!!!!!!! 15, 103 VIEWS!!!!!!
More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.
See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.
AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!
The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
Related issue on another thread.
Terri ping to 281! If anyone would like to be added to or removed from my Terri ping list, please let me know by FReepmail!
I've noticed that too. And they keep sidetracking the issues. They make up hypothetical situations that have nothing to do with reality, and demand that you respond. As soon as you respond, they deny having said what they just said, accuse you of lying, and then change the subject, demanding you respond to the new subject.
Typical board conversation with supporter of Michael Schiavo: Me: It's against Florida Statute 825.102 to withhold food and fluids from someone who is incapacitated. Them: But it's what Terri WANTED. Michael said so. Me: His hearsay testimony of Terri's alleged wish to die was inadmissible under Florida Statute 90.602. Them: But he's her husband. He's the one who should speak for her. Me: He's not really her husband anymore. He has a mate and two children with her. Under Florida law, he's living in open adultery and has abandoned his marriage. Them: Well, he's only trying to do what's in Terri's best interest. Me: He's also in violation of Florida Statute 744.3215 (which defines the role of the guardian and the rights of an incapacitated ward) by not providing necessary care, filing annual guardianship plans or prudently managing Terri's estate/property. In the eyes of the law, he's no longer qualified to act as her guardian. Them: Well, she should still be allowed to die because the court said she should. Me: The court has not upheld the guardianship laws of Florida nor has it properly applied the Florida State that defines 'persistent vegetative state' in this case. Also, the court did not review affidavits of doctors who said Terri had been misdiagnosed, so causing her to die by dehydration and starvation is an inappropriate if not utterly illegal ruling. Them: Well, I wouldn't want to live that way. There's no quality of life for her. Me: She responds very purposefully to her family and follows directives, so she's obviously aware. Do you think we should allow guardians to end the lives of aware, cognizant and functional people just because they have a brain injury or aren't able to feed themselves? Them: YOU'RE JUST DEMONIZING MICHAEL!!! |
Now why don't we suggest that very thing when we're calling the legislature? Why have the taxpayers foot the bill for food for 10yrs or however long an inmate is on death row, just quit feeding them. Same with sex offenders, we want a new law, death by starvation for all convicted molesters!
Yes it sounds absurd but if it's good enough for Terri why shouldn't become the new method of execution for those who have committed heinous crimes?
Maybe it will shake them out of their comlacency!

Judge Greer has broken many laws. I don't care who his friends are. IMPEACH JUDGE GREER, FLA HOUSE!
Instead, they are working on another bill without a vote from Floridians TO MAKE IT EASIER TO KILL.
This is more crap from Jim King, I surmise. If anybody lives in King's district, please call them and tell them to cut the euthanasia crap. Am I seething inside? Yes I am.

Attorney Chris Ferrara's Legal Brief to the Tampa Middle District. IT IS GOLD.
I hope that US DOJ Gonzalez looks at the Terri situation. His civil rights dept. has a duty to investigate allegations of civil rights abuses. He said before congress that this administration and government is AGAINST CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT AND TORTURE. Did he mean it?

(CNSNews.com) - A number of Christian groups have announced their intention to save the life of brain-damaged Terri Schindler Schiavo, if her feeding and hydration tube is removed on orders from her husband, something that could happen soon.
In a press release, organizers of the save-Terri effort said they would encourage all those "who cherish the culture of life to come to Florida and stand in solidarity with Terri and her family should the courts order food and water withheld from her."
The groups behind the effort include the National Clergy Council, Operation Rescue, Christian Defense Coalition, Life Legal Defense Foundation, Generation Life, and Reclaiming America.
Those groups say they hope "scores" of people will come from around the country to "pray, lobby and peacefully intervene" on Terri's behalf.
"As a nation, we are judged not by how we treat the powerful and strong. Rather, we are judged by how we treat the weakest and most vulnerable in our society. Operation Rescue will do all within its power to see that Terri Schiavo is treated with dignity and respect and her right to life is protected," said Troy Newman, director of Operation Rescue.
The Reverend Rob Schenck, president of the National Clergy Council, said his group "calls upon the State of Florida to stand with Terri Schiavo to ensure her basic civil rights are protected."
The Reverend Patrick J. Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, commented, "If Terri Schiavo were a pet, animal or convicted serial killer she would be given more rights and civil liberties than she is being afforded right now."
"Life Legal Defense Foundation stands in solidarity with Terri Schiavo because we believe in the sanctity of human life," said Dana Cody, the group's executive director. "If Terri's feeding tube is removed, she will die and agonizing death by dehydration and starvation that will set precedent leading to the forced death of other disabled individuals, thereby eroding the sanctity of all human life."
Brandi Swindell, national director of Generation Life, said Terri, despite her brain-damaged state, "should be guaranteed the most basic human and Constitutional rights, which are afforded to all Americans."
And finally, Dr. Gary Cass, executive director of Reclaiming America, stated that his group "will use every resource available to us to save the life of Terri Schiavo and all those who are facing similar physical challenges. This campaign will shine a spotlight on the barbaric manner in which Terri is being treated and hopefully shock the conscience of our nation so it never happens again."
Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal concerning the Florida right-to-life statute dubbed "Terri's Law," which the Florida courts have declared unconstitutional.
As CNSNews.com previously reported
http://www.cnsnews.com/Nation/Archive/200501/NAT20050124b.html, the case now goes back to the Florida courtroom of Pinellas County Circuit Judge George Greer, who has ruled three times that Terri's husband Michael Schiavo could remove his wife's feeding tube.
If Greer again rules in Michael Schiavo's favor, Terri Schindler Schiavo would be expected to die of dehydration and starvation within 10 to 15 days after her feeding tube is removed.
Terri's husband, who is now living with and raising children with another woman [and has been for a decade], says Terri made it clear long ago that she would not want to live in circumstances like those that have befallen her.
But Terri's family doesn't believe Terri ever specified her wishes, and they accuse Michael Schiavo of trying to get rid of her. Terri's family has begged Michael to turn over her care to them, but there is great bitterness between the two sides and he has refused.

FLORIDUH VOTER SAYS: Please continue to help Terri, even five minutes a day on the phone can help save her life. Thanks, FV
That brought a tear.
I think about what is being done to this innocent woman by others sometimes and I can't believe we ever got to this place.
I wonder if her persecutors ever have a moment of conscience or ever regret the things they have done. As if asked and answered, I was listening to "Look Around" by Blues Traveler when that post came across:
And sometimes
In the midst of all my crimes
I feel lost
Or have i lost enough
Remaining friends
Remind me as they say
It's up to you
The things you throw away
And still you're gonna have to go and find it
You'll have to dig beneath the ground
You'll have to unearth every ugly stone
That kept you on your own
And simply put them down
You're gonna have to look around
I hope these people who are pushing for this innocent woman's death will 'look around'.
