If you had told me a month ago that Id be devoting my February letter to SpongeBob SquarePants, Id have said you were crazy. Nevertheless, by now you probably know that I have been linked to that famous talking sponge by hundreds of media outlets, from the New York Times to "MSNBC" to "Saturday Night Live."
In truth, this tale has very little to do with SpongeBob himself, and everything to do with the medias ability to obscure the facts and to direct lies and scorn toward those of us who care about defending children.
The video, which millions of children will soon see, features nearly 100 favorite cartoon characters that kids will instantly recognize, including not only SpongeBob, but also Barney the Dinosaur, the Muppets, Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder, Winnie the Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Jimmy Neutron and Big Bird. The video itself is innocent enough and does not mention anything overtly sexual. Rather, it features the childrens cartoon characters singing and dancing along to the popular disco hit "We Are Family."
But while the video is harmless on its own, I believe the agenda behind it is sinister. My brief comments at the FRC gathering were intended to express concern not about SpongeBob or Big Bird or any of their other cartoon friends, but about the way in which those childhood symbols are apparently being hijacked to promote an agenda that involves teaching homosexual propaganda to children. Nevertheless, the media jumped on the story by claiming that I had accused SpongeBob of being "gay." Some suggested that I had confused the organization that had created the video with a similarly named gay-rights group. In both cases, the press was dead wrong, and I welcome this opportunity to help them get their facts straight.

Frankly though, just between you and me, I've never worried about Sponge Bob, but that fat pink friend of his, Patrick, looks a little suspicious.:)
Spongebob is a male character, regardless of what the maker says. Male name, tie, pants... 'nuff said.
Of course, it could be a feminist pig in disguise!
I'll tell you who is an absolute flamer. Its that alien guy on "Lilo and Stitch". Agent Plinkley. Absolutely pegs my gaydar.
Friday night the actor who voices Spone Bob was on the radio talking about and making jokes about James Dobson. He loves it.
Those who truly knew Dobson knew better.
Its the so-called allies that always feel uncomfortable with religious issues that lept on it with both feet, shouting 'AHAHA! This proves what a flake these religious leaders are! See? What did I tell you...blah, blah, blah'
Its like the non-religious conservatives and neocons are just looking for the first excuse to brow-beat gullible Christians into remaining silent when we most need to speak up aginst the homosexual long march through our institutions, following the tracks of the radical feminists before them.
This is similar to charges levelled against Pat Robertson. I don't watch him, but when he has been attacked in the media (and even here by some Freepers) for outrageous statements, I have found that in almost every case he has been mis-quoted and/or taken out of context.
The news about the two controversial shows comes days after a media uproar over Focus on the Family founder James Dobson's comments about a children's music video featuring SpongeBob SquarePants. In the music video, SpongeBob and other children's characterssuch as Arthur, Barney, and Big Birdsing the popular '70s tune, "We are Family." While the video does not mention homosexuality, the video's distributor, the We Are Family Foundation, has a tolerance pledge on its website that includes "sexual identity." The video is being sent to 61,000 public and private elementary schools nationwide.
Speaking on his radio broadcast Jan. 26, Dobson said he has never had his "words more misrepresented" than they were during the SpongeBob episode. Although Dobson initially was criticizing only the tolerance pledge, some in the media were quoting him as saying SpongeBob is a homosexual.
Since Dobson made the comments, teachers' resources that focused on homosexuality have been removed from the We Are Family Foundation's website, Dobson said.
"Where [the video] is shown, schoolchildren will be left with the impression that their teachers are offering their endorsement of the values and agenda associated with the video's sponsor," Dobson said in a statement. "While some of the goals associated with this organization are noble in nature, their inclusion of the reference to 'sexual identity' within their 'tolerance pledge' is not only unnecessary, but it crosses a moral line."

Plinkley and the school principal on "Jimmy Neutron" are as gay as can be. These shows are entertaining. The "inclusion" of these characters screams, "Agenda."
Innuendo. Listen to the liberal's involved in Peter Jackson's Rings project describe their thoughts when Tolkien's palantirs, 'seeing stones', are discussed. The media is dangerous, they say, because they present a little or just enough to make one jump to the wrong conclusion. Important context is omitted. The palantir in the stories always made the viewer, whether the devil on one side, or someone else on the other, come to the wrong conclusion.
And this "We are Family Foundation" clearly is a devious organiztion from the way they slander Dr. Dobson and then modify their website to hide the facts.
Documented here: Proof discovered of agenda in the Sponge Bob/Homosexual controversy.
It is outrageous what the MSM is doing to Dr. Dobson. They did the same thing to Jerry Falwell with Tinky Winky. Newspapers from the Village Voice to the Washington Post had been calling Tinky Winky gay for years. But the minute Jerry Falwell did, there was an uproar of criticism against Falwell but not one word about who originally said it. To this day if you google Jerry Falwell and Tinky Winky you get nothing but articles critical of Falwell. Unfortunately, the same thing will probably happen with Dr. Dobson.
If you believe Dr. Dobson said SpongeBob was gay you must also believe that "the separation of church and state" is in the Constitution. Matt Lauer said so!
Homosexual Agenda Ping.
The "Rest of the Story" by Dr. Dobson.
Hmm, who knows best what James Dobson actually said and actually meant - the man himself, or leftist Mid Stream Media?
Let me and DirtyHarryY2K know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
