It was only those who didn't work with computers who believed in the "paperless office" concept. Unfortunately, some of us have worked in places that didn't understand such a truth, and sanctioned those who would dare print out the 200+ page report with D-size plates, rather than read it on a CRT!
Scanning and imaging really helped with document storage. And online forms are great.
