*fist pump in the air*
YES!
Score one for the good guys.
Thanks Dioge.
What a great day.
Well Done
Great photos. According to Zarqawi, 72% of Iraqi's are infidels. Next week he'll be calling them Zionists. The week after that he'll be shopping for a flat in London with Alec Baldwin.
When do we get to see Helen Thomas' brown stained finger?
Great pictures!
I wonder how Ted Kennedy is feeling today.
FREEDOM! Great pictures!
I am spending this afternoon rewatching my video of Allawi's visit to the US last September - his address to Congress; the Rose Garden Press Conference and his address at Turtle Bay. So much that he and President Bush said, and were scoffed at by "journalists," has come to pass. Ha!
Yeah, I guess Ted "Water-Boarding" Kennedy was right when he said we would never win the hearts and minds of these backward Iraqis. </sarcasm >
Seriously, Diogenesis..........these pictures are absolutely AWESOME!!
THANKS!

Iraqi police cheer just a few hours before the end of Iraq (news - web sites)'s landmark election day in Baghdad. Insurgents bent on disrupting the elections today sent out bombers to wreak mayhem at polling centres around Baghdad but despite the intimidation factor, people still came out to vote, particularly in Shiite areas.(AFP/Ramzi Haidar) |
I saw some video of these guys. They were so darn happy that there was hardly any blood in the street they were literally dancing!

Iraqi's queue at a school polling station in the At Maeel area of Basra, southern Iraq (news - web sites), January 30, 2005, as the country holds its first elections. Some came on crutches, others walked for miles then struggled to read the ballot, but across most of Iraq millions turned out to vote Sunday, defying insurgent threats of a bloodbath. Suicide bombs and mortars killed at least 33 people, but Iraqis still came out in force for the first multi-party poll in 50 years. While in some areas turnout was scant, in most places, including violent Sunni Arab regions, it exceeded expectations. (Toby Melville/Reuters) |
Look at all those people in line to vote! If this was in Ohio, the Libs would say they were disenfranchised!
What a day for America, Iraq, and people that love freedom everywhere (oops--I guess that leaves out the dems).
Freedom bump!!!!!!!!
Dio, dang it, you made me cry. History, my friend. BTT.
