The frontrunner in the race to head up the so-called party of compassion and understanding said unabashedly on Saturday that he "hates" the opposition."I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for," former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean told Democrats gathered at a Manhattan hotel, in quotes picked up by the New York Daily News. He and six other candidates came to address the final DNC forum before the Feb. 12 vote for chairman.
Dean said that despite his hatred for the GOP, he "admires" their discipline and their organization.
But he cautioned his Democratic audience that their party shouldn't become "Republican lite."
"We can talk about our faith, but we cannot change our faith," he said. "We need to be people of conviction."
Yeah. What nerve we have for undoing the political and social injustices that have served men like Dean so well.
Everytime I post the map, somebody prompts me to add or change this or that state. Also big controversy going on now about Wisconsin.
Hate from the party of hate. I'm not shocked.

Dean's howling
to lead DNC
BY MAGGIE HABERMAN
DAILY NEWS CITY HALL BUREAU
HOWARD DEAN, THE favorite to be the next head of the Democratic National Committee, made his case in midtown yesterday, promising to make his party operate more like the GOP - at least when it comes to elections.
"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for, but I admire their discipline and their organization," the failed presidential hopeful told the crowd at the Roosevelt Hotel, where he and six other candidates spoke at the final DNC forum before the Feb. 12 vote for chairman.
But Dean said the Democrats should not change their beliefs to be "Republican lite."
"We can talk about our faith, but we cannot change our faith," he said, echoing themes he sounded in his presidential bid. "We need to be people of conviction."
Later, he said that what "95% of Americans are really concerned about" is national security. But he said Americans also do not want to sacrifice the nation's values. "They want America to be the moral leader of the world again," he said.
(snip)
Dems have no faith.
Dean for Democratic nominee in 2008! Perfect, republicans would have it locked up if they nominated a Rottweiler! (no offense to Rottweilers, mind you..)
Dean also hates you. Dean hates America. He hates mom and dad. Dean hates marraige. Hate, hate, hate.
Dean is a gift to Republicans.
Same thing goes for Michigan with ample opportunities for vote fraud in Detroit.
With enemies like this, who needs friends?
The man should be investigated as a deep mole for the pubbies. He should be counted as an asset to the Conservative cause.
"but I don't derive a great deal of joy from the spectacle."
I must admit that it used to really tick me off - but these days their attacks are so looney that I've learned to take it in as free entertainment.
Seriously, the DUmmies over at DUmmieland were celebrating gleefully last night over the embassy rocket attack and every instance of terrorist violence designed to scare Iraqis away from the voting booths. They are actually cheering for what they call the "liberation fighters" who they claim are fighting to save Iraq from the evil American invaders
One somewhat less hateful DUmmie opined that it isn't right to celebrate the murder of innocent people, but he, or she, was quickly chastened by the others for trying to rain on their nauseating parade. That poster has probably been banned by now, DU doesn't tolerate any degree of departure from the party line of bitter hate and vituperation toward Bush and any of his policies.
DUmmies are the quintessence of the Democrat party, and Dean, Kucinich, and now Boxer, are their ultimate heroes. They truly are sick puppies, and if people like that ever get control of our government the USA is over and done with.
Not at all! The Italians I know are mostly fun loving people who are great to be around. OTOH, Dean is a maniacal basket case who no one in his right mind would want to hang out with.
that's just a shame, since we love democrats so much . . . taste like chicken.
But I thought we were supposed to be the hate-filled party?
