I had the trip from hell! Stop to get brake lights fixed and leaking oil on the way up! Then a full breakdown coming back........lost a belt and had to be TOWED from north of South Hill back to Raleigh......what a trip!
Worst of all, NO INTERNET while I was gone...........can you give me a synopsis???
I wish I could .. but I haven't had much of a chance to read the News ..
Hubby is invading my space and freeping time ... grrrr
Dog ... can you help here ?
Democracy won..
Synopsis:
Voter turnout heavier than expected in all precincts. It was light in the first hour or so, and MSM tried to claim that the vote was a failure.
Suicide bombers tried to infiltrate lines, but that just seemed to bring more people out to vote.
Jackson: Blahblahblah disenfranchised
Kerry: Blahblahblah global test
MSM: Blahblahblah murder death kill
Geraldo: WOW! This is fantastic! I'm overwhelmed! Terrorism loses today!
In a nutshell.
What a horrible trip! So glad you're home safe and sound.
72% voter turnout overall in Iraq; 90% in some regions of Iraq. Relatively little violence. 36 killed; at least 9 of whom were the suicide bombers. No soldiers killed to my knowledge although 4 were injured right after the polls closed.
Many pictures of happy, crying Iraqis. The pure joy reminds me of the morning I woke up to find the Berlin Wall being dismantled.
(hey, Teddy, time to take a long walk off a short pier...oops).

Sorry to hear about your trip ...
