I reported it exactly as I heard it.
Undoubtedly, the first step would be for someone in a position of influence to contact Handel and obtain a recording or transcript.
I agree that if the principal were to have destroyed letters not yet under postal control, the reasons for lynching the principal would be slightly different.
The principal of the school refused to allow classes to officially break to let students and teachers pay their respects. IIRC, the soldier had just graduated the year before, so many at the school knew him."
Here is a thread about that. You will find links to the fallen heroes guest book. I am sure the family would appreciate supportive comments!
Did this happen in any particular school or city or state that you can share with us?
Read the posting... all I know, is what the caller to Handel's show related.
He did identify her by first name and what town she was from, when she called, but I didn't start really paying attention until I heard what she was calling about.
Someone who is media-savvy could get what additional information is available, from Handel's producer, based on the air time I mentioned, in the Portland, Oregon area.
Any number of other talk-show hosts would be very interested to get the details from him - that, you can count on.
I just have no connections at all in that sphere... I could spend days making phone calls and get nothing but airhead se cretaries.
We have been discussing inexpensive ways to fast track kids through high school to avoid the liberal agenda and other idiocies so characteristic of public schools today:

Unfortunately my thread title was not well thought out, because some parents might instinctively skip over it due to attached stigma, whether real or imagined.
